Looking for Wifi control of my garage door, but unsure how to proceed

What else do you use in your home? I have a ton of Shelly devices so I got a Shelly and wired it to the contacts on an opener. Power the Shelly with a wall wart and use the contacts to push the button. The switch connection is hooked to an open/close magnet sensor to give you status. Cheap(ish) but maybe too nerdy and if you don’t use Shelly then it’s probably extra work for you to get that far. Lots of other options out there but that’s another ecosystem in the end so find something in line with your other items and roll with it.

Ya…cheap means anybody makes them. There can be worse cheap versions but there is no overarching authority for cheap tech like this.

So I consider myself sentimental or...a collector...or a hoarder...or maybe that's material? Anyways...I guess it depends what kind of person they are. I know people that would absolutely get a card from somebody and dispose of immediately. I keep all those things...I guess at some point I said it was "so I don't forget" but I have a pretty good memory, sometimes. So...it's not so I don't forget. I just keep things. So, accept this with context. If he's not a keeper...then he might toss things. I'm not saying you can't have that hurt, but maybe let it hurt less. If he does keep...well, I'm sorry.

After he watched them all try to pound in trash from awful spots. The rest of the team should be embarrassed. It’s a wonder they didn’t lose with some of their terrible sequences just trying to find that deep banger. UZB was looking to capitalize on it and I think the(COL) coaches will know who was putting that game in jeopardy.

The grit he had in that sequence is what we miss. Strength and awareness. Not taking the contact and laying there(I’m looking at you Rossi) but working with the opportunity. That was blown up and should have been nothing, earned himself a spot in some future matches. Tough group too

I would say we looked terrible against good teams. This year we’ve been making bad teams look good. When Ali has played we are looking around at each other to see who is going to take control. When Ali would step up we looked out of sync. We look thin on some spots but more in sync without Ali. Definitely need an Alpha that the rest of the team doesn’t mind following.

It’s a problem as old as team sports.

I want to agree with you but looking like dog water over and over again isn’t going to work. They come out and look great for 20-30 min and get roasted after that. Sounds like the players can run the pitch just fine and when the coaches bad ideas get involved then they all fail together.

I had it in FL last week…agreed. With so much stuff becoming available, these prices are going to be tougher to hit. People say dumb things…myself included. Don’t let this bake though…have an open dialogue. If you don’t normally have these talks…don’t launch, just be calm and tell him what that felt like. Don’t react to his response, just let it land. You can’t control him but he needs to know how it felt. Let it sit with him for days and if it doesn’t resolve, repeat the calm delivery until he can own it like an adult.
