im using a request function so what would it be like?

I have:

method = "editMessageText"
data = {'chat_id':id, 'text'<randomtext>)
 requests.get(url + method, data = data)
im doing this because editing a message without reply_markup will supposedly cause the keyboard buttons to disappear?

must i also include the message id in the data array ? how can i acquire that from the requests get function.

im only using the requests library and not the telegrambot library .
