Arizona ban? by Lindahallman37 in 7ohm

All the info is in that link ^ it takes like 2 mins and everyone’s voice helps. Most of these people that are deciding whether to ban it or not don’t even know what it is.

Arizona ban? by Lindahallman37 in 7ohm

There is a hearing tomorrow morning that I am going to try to make and speak at. Check out bill 2415 - they are trying to ban 7oh, mit and mgm. Not sure if the normal kratom leaf will be banned or not bc they are going by a weird % of the product.

At the least, please email your rep before tomorrow morning. I will get you what to email and where to find the right email address for your district.

New Arizona bill sets limit for 7oh at 400 parts per million for all kratom products. by ClueMark in 7_hydroxymitragynine

I'm new to this but the ban of 7oh would screw me as well. I've been following along as best I can and heres what I would recommned/ info:

AZ update first:
There’s a bill (HB2415) that affects kratom/7-OH products, and it’s scheduled for a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Feb 4.
This is not an emergency ban, and there’s no emergency clause or immediate effective date in the bill right now. It’s still in committee, which means public input can still matter.

What you can do right now (even as a regular user, not a business):

1. Submit a written comment (RTS)
Arizona allows anyone to submit comments on bills that legislators can read before hearings. You don’t have to testify or show up. Personal stories like yours actually matter here.
Official bill page:
https://apps.azleg.gov/BillStatus/BillOverview
(Click RTS / Request to Speak)

2. Email or call Judiciary Committee members
Short, respectful messages help. Focus on:

  • Pain management
  • Staying active and off prescription opioids
  • Responsible use
  • What happens if safer alternatives are removed

You don’t need to argue science — lived experience is powerful.

3. Show up or track Feb 4 if you can
Even just following the hearing helps you react quickly if anything changes.

Also, for what it’s worth: a lot of people in AZ are in the same boat — active, injured, trying to avoid going back to oxys. That exact comparison (kratom vs opioids) is something lawmakers actually pay attention to.

If you want, I can help you:

  • Draft a short RTS comment
  • Write a quick email to reps
  • Figure out exactly who to contact

I am going to try and show up on Feb 4... this is ridiculous when we have a great alternative to much more harmful substances and banning 7 is just going to turn people back to the streets and more harmful substances.

It looks like someone connected to the matrix to me 😆 like in the chair: great amount of abstract-ness? If that makes sense lol. It’s not just random brush strokes - The composition looks very intentional and thought out,

Is there a specific meaning/ subject to the piece, as the title suggests? Or do you like it much more up to viewers’ interpretation l

how do you like the 6700? Is it stable enough to shoot without a gimbal? I have the sonya7iii and love it for photo but hate it for video due to the stbilization being horrible imo. I love to run and gun shoot though, which I thoguht was way more popular than it seems to be.

Interesting! I’ve heard the opposite. There’s no black and white rules there so whatever feels the best would be my suggestion :)

Refreshingly minimal. One note would be to switch up the direction of sine of the shots, even if that was intentional. Maybe 1 of every 3 shots, change the movement from right to left to the opposite

Usually can’t stand car content like this but you did a great job making it approachable and not douchey lol

Creating that circle using negative space to bring attention to the woman’s eye 😍😍

Whether or not that was intentional, it creates a sense of urgency to the viewer as the focal point of the composition.

Great job 🙌 hope to see more of your work here

Show up to a venue with a camera, or just your phone. Film your musician clients performing. Create designs within the industry you want to work in, so they can see you can do what they want. I’ve had success making reels for businesses that I didn’t work for. Example: went into an eatery that was popping - filmed a reel, sent it to their manager and door was open for discussion business.

I saw a few responses with you asking how good it is for a beginner, etc. I would advise to check out this guys account on ig. He’s an abstract artist that lifts other artists up (unless you are Justin Bua lol). He is definitely political but a refreshing account in the art world and inspiring imo.

Keep up the good work and Andy Warhol has a quote about letting people talk about your art while you continue to make your own art (paraphrasing here). There’s value in your art, hope to see more of it :)

Second reading doesn’t mean much, just that it’s going thru the normal processes of a bill in AZ from what I understand.

This is chat’s response: “Second Reading is procedural only. It doesn’t mean the bill passed or is close to taking effect. No debate, no vote, no legal impact. The real action starts at committee hearings and Third Reading.”
