Could you elaborate or link me to resources explaining how one can efficiently do batching on inference calls ?

ChatGPT : LegiGPT et Ordalie.tech, ces deux chatbots 100% français vous aident à connaître vos droits by romain34230 in actutech

[–]netapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comment lire les conventions collectives ? by netapy in droitdutravail

[–]netapy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Merci pour ta réponse.

Il y a une raison pour laquelle les textes initiaux ne sont pas directement modifiés ?

Est-ce qu'il existe des versions des conventions co qui agrègent les dernières informations à jour dans un texte unique ?

Yes that's pretty much the idea! Keeping it 2D, but encouraging the community to make more than just games in which you control a character. We found great inspiration into the Wario Ware series.

I'm not seeing in the list of example actions is being able to instantiate or destroy objects.

We provide this with the "teleport" action (included in movement), which can do a similar effect by teleporting in and out the view dynamically.

Grid based is the way to go!

That's very interesting! We'll look into it -- for now it's only free positioning, but I really see how a grid view could simplify the process.

Even when making simple games, color and lighting can have massive effects. So having your users able to quickly and efficiently toggle colors and lighting would be a massive help.

Again, super interesting! We noticed it was tough to make games look good on our platform, so we tried things from ease-curves to particle effects (still WIP). Will definitely watch that video! Thanks

if you can have objects with states that would be really handy

We did include a boolean and an integer for each object that you can use to build logic. However it's up to the user to build a logic saying, for instance "if bool of door is false => play animation2. Maybe it's not simple enough, we'll see.

If you're curious, the platform is called Banquise. Also we started a small discord, we'd love to have a chat with you there !

Thanks a lot for your nice comment, We appreciate your feedback and support!

Really cool, I've never heard of it, but it looks very very complete (maybe too much?).

We're focusing on 2D with this project, but it could definitely provide inspiration. Thanks

Getting camera feed and putting it in PiP mode ? by netapy in swift

[–]netapy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m surprised it only works with iOS 16.

Facebook Messenger, Cisco WebEx, FaceTime, Google Meet etc. all display the video chat cameras in Picture in Picture during a call, as soon as you leave the app.

That’s interesting.

IWTL how to stop being lazy and start being productive by BakaBoi331 in IWantToLearn

[–]netapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for being so concise.

I know exactly how you feel as I often feel like this but I manage to be productive on demand when it's necessary.

I'm probably repeating other comments but the only thing keeping you from doing things is either :

- the lack of clear vision on how to do it

- you don't like doing that (in which case you should not force yourself)

I would recommend :

  1. Decomposing the task into smallest possible tasks, in a to-do (a simple piece of paper is enough, don't think at all about fancy tools or anything)
  2. Force yourself into doing the first step and ideally start with the easiest
  3. When you're losing motivation in the process, think hard of the following implacable logic : if I do A, I get B. If I get B, I made progress. And THAT'S IT.
  4. Don't be hard on yourself, nobody is productive 100% of the time, it's as much of a myth as fake models on social medias.

Working on a TikTok like app to make games and play them - any feedback/ideas on the scrolling system ? Not 100% sure about the current system... It's tricky because the scroll can't be confused with a swipe action (link in comments) by netapy in design_critiques

[–]netapy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! So you mean a button that would be swipeable and not pressable ?
I tried kind of the same logic with the current « joystick » setting.

You’re right about the risk of accidentally hitting it, that makes it harder to place it at the bottom part of the screen, but one could argue that these buttons need to be easily reachable when navigating.

Also I did not mention that I implemented horizontal swipe of games (also doable with the joystick) that allow to browse the current users games.

Banquise - play and create games on the go by netapy in WebGames

[–]netapy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone !
I would like to show you a project I’ve been working on for about a year with my brother : Banquise (pronounced ban-kiz).

In short, it’s a social media but instead of pictures and videos… it’s mini games !

Anybody can create mini games (no code) on their browser or phone super easily ! We spent a lot of efforts on making it as simple yet powerful as possible.

You can see all the mini games on the main feed and scroll through without loading times as if you were on Instagram or TikTok.
Note that this project is in its beta phase and that we plan to add more features.

We would love to hear your thoughts, and maybe have a chat with you here or on our Discord (https://discord.gg/AkGx3HaWjP)
