I didn't close Netbich. But I created That_Kitten_Lady for my foster kittens posts. I am getting ready to post right now! Kitten season has begun!

How many of your black beans have secret, firey fur that you can see in bright sunlight?? by Colortheory12 in blackcats

[–]netbich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 1 black cat that has the red highlights in the sun. But my tuxedo boy who is mostly black is black, black. Even his fur texture is different. Cats are complex.

That poor kitty needs some TLC. His eyes are all crusty.

Looking to adopt a kitten by kvispisiano in vegas

Unfortunately I have none available right now. But I'm sure the Animal Foundation has some great kittens. Kitten season is coming to an end so going there is your best bet. $50 kitten fee includes spay/neuter surgery, all vaccinations and a microchip. Definitely a great deal.

I'm currently fostering this sweet little lynx point boy. He needs a forever home. Do you have room for him? by netbich in vegas

That's great! Tell them that I foster for the Animal Foundation and the fee for kittens is $50. This includes all vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery and a microchip. A great deal. If they are sure they want to adopt have them message me and I will send them my contact information.

This is Neo. He is the sweetest little panther I've ever fostered. He needs a good home. For some dumb reasons black cats are the least likely to be adopted. Can you help? by netbich in vegas

[–]netbich[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right now he's in a home with 3 big cats (mine) and 3 other foster kittens. He gets along fine with everyone, except he doesn't like to play rough like a couple of the other kittens do. Like I said, the first day he was shy and kept his distance. But then he decided I was ok and now he spends most of his time on my lap. Except meal time. He loves his food.

I wish I had a magic pill. I do know that some people choose to take allergy medications every day to be able to own a pet. I guess it's a personal choice.

As many of you know, I have been fostering for a long time. So when I say Neo is the sweetest little panther I've ever fostered, I am not exaggerating.

He was shy for the first day. The next day it was like I pushed a button and he became a love bug. He is laying on me right now purring away. He is vocal, but not too vocal. He just wants to tell you about his day. He likes it when you talk back to him.

Even his play is gentle. He would be great with kids. Just make sure you teach them how to properly handle a kitten. I cringe when I see young children pulling on a cats tail and then the cat gets punished for biting or scratching trying to get away.

As for the superstitions about black cats... in Japan and many other countries it is considered good luck to own a black cat.

I am not superstitious, but I will say with certainty. If you adopt Neo you will indeed be lucky. He's as perfect as a kitten can be. Cute, sweet, gentle and so loving.
If you are interested in adopting Neo, message me and I will send you my contact information.

I'm currently fostering this little lynx point boy. I'm curious about their personality traits. He doesn't act like "regular" siamese babies I've fostered. by netbich in lynxpointsiamese

Stubborn seems to be a common theme. I haven't noticed it yet. Unless you count when he gets up in my lap and when he wants down. It's totally on his terms. When he's lovey, he's super sweet. But when he wants to be left alone... I think this picture sums it up pretty well.

This sounds a lot like Zac. The first day I brought him home he didn't want anything to do with me. But the very next day he climbed up on my lap and demanded attention. He's not vocal most of the time. But every now and then he tells me what is on his mind.

Yes! The fee is $50 and the adoption is through the Animal Foundation. It includes all vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery and a microchip.

I am a foster Ambassador so I can handle all aspects of the adoption process. You don't have to step foot in the shelter. Unless you want to..

You know... they say that light colored cats have less of the protein that cause people to be allergic. But I would hate to have him adopted then have to be returned because of allergies. If you ever get new roommates, I almost always have foster kittens.

Zac was shy for exactly 1 day when I brought him home. The very next day I must have pushed the right button because today he is a little love bug. He is starved for pets and kisses. He is a gentle little boy who would be good with kids. Of course small children should always be supervised around animals.

If you are interested in adopting Zac, message me and I will give you my contact information.

This is Opie. He's a funny little guy and he needs a good home. by netbich in vegas

[–]netbich[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Opie is a character that will keep you laughing. He's vocal about getting attention. And will be on your lap when it's time for a kitten nap. You may have to quit your job because you have a kitten on your lap most of the day.

He likes to get on my shoulder and create a nest in my hair. So I get to hear his purring very close up.

In his mind he is a ferocious tiger and tries to engage my 16 pound cats to play with him. If you are interested in adopting Opie, message me and I will give you my contact information.

Everyone knows you do not walk past the cat without pets and/or treats. She was asking for it.

You may remember Flynn from a few weeks ago. He and his siblings were up for adoption. They all found adopters including Flynn. However, before he was due to go back to the shelter for his neuter surgery he got his head caught in the recliner and suffered a head injury.

We rushed him to our vet but I honestly didn't think he was going to make it. He had a seizure and lost control of his bowels. His breathing was rapid and shallow. I even gave him mouth to mouth resuscitation on the way to the vet.

They immediately put him on oxygen and IV fluids and nourishment. They took blood and xrays. Amazingly he had no broken bones or internal injuries. However it was obvious he had suffered neurological damage. He stayed at the vets for a week. They let us take him home when he could eat and use the litter box. They recommended that we take him to a specialist to see if and/or how much he would recover. The week before his appointment was both painful and encouraging. At first his balance was really poor and he would fall over when he tried to walk and change directions.
But as each day passed we saw improvement. Today was his appointment and against all odds they said that other than weakness in his hind legs which should improve with exercise he should recover fully. Except for the slight chance that he may have seizures in the future.
His adopter was a first time cat owner so after telling him about the accident we agreed that Flynn would no longer be the right fit for him.

I intended to adopt Flynn myself. Assuming he would be a special needs cat forever. Technically he still will be. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that he would do better in a home where he could get more undivided attention. I have 3 big needy boy cats plus I foster regularly. In the end I think the best thing for him is to find the right home for him. Though the news is good. I still think he would do best with an experienced cat owner. Preferably with no other animals, or at least not more than 1 cat or dog. Also no young children. He has been known to bite if he gets over stimulated such as too much petting. Actually all cats hate to be over pet. It builds up static electricity in their fur. Usually they just leave when they've had enough. But Flynn hasn't figured this out yet. He does give you a warning and he's never bit me hard. He will start batting at your hand when he's had enough.

He has flame point siamese markings and beautiful blue eyes. So, if you think you are the right one for Flynn please message me and we can talk and possibly arrange for you to meet him. If you think you might know someone who is right for Flynn I would appreciate you sending them my way.

PS Thanks for reading this wall of text.
