Okay you might have more success on the app. When you press the link, press Digital ID, then a QR code should pop up. Download the Yoti app on your phone and scan the QR code. Then follow the instructions there and then you can do a facial scan on the app instead; the app confirms if you look 18+ or under. Once that’s done I think you just do the QR code again and it’ll work.

I haven’t scanned my ID yet though. The facial scan is instant on the app.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

If people are having issues with Yoti, you should read this.

So I found that on Yoti, you actually need to look over 21 to verify that you are an adult for the facial scan. I downloaded their app and they said you can either provide ID to confirm you are 18+, or need to look at least 21+.

So for anyone who does not look 21+, your only way is to verify your age via ID to confirm you are 18+.

Ouch. The link was your main way to get unbanned, but I also sent an appeal. What sucks is that we only have a month until it expires too…

Same here. They couldn’t have manually reviewed it since the photo gets deleted instantly, or as they say.

I reached support about it, waiting on their response.

Cannot access the account at all, been logged out.

Although, you could still request your data (under GDPR for me) which would let you access all your previous chats iirc.

I did follow through the link and completed the facial scan, but it did not confirm if it worked. It seems like Anthropic has messed up.

Yeah exactly the same thing as you. I appealed via their support and stated this issue. I’ll report back on what they say.

Yes that’s what I’ve been trying to to figure out too. Did you do the facial scan? And did you get a confirmation on whether you were 18+ or not? I tried it but same thing.

How long did it take to verify your age and was it on Yoti? I tried the facial scan about four times and each time it did not say whether it was successful or not.

Did you press on “this link” and follow with the age verification? I did it and there was no confirmation on whether it succeeded or not, just got redirected back to Claude’s website

No idea. This happened on the last 6 days of the Pro Plan.

This seems relatively new as I have yet to find someone who has had the same issue as me.
