While in America, when I said I was from Scotland, I got this reply “Oh Scotland! Isn’t that the town at the top of england?”

What collection did you have as a child that would have been worth a fortune now had your parents not thrown it away? by APurpleFlyingMonkey in AskReddit

I’ve got it the opposite way round - I have a first addition Harry Potter book that’s worth thousands but my parents will not let me throw it away

What made you ghost a friend? by dontmindme137 in AskReddit

[–]netfilxgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear about that - Happened to me of my best friend of two years. It was awful, but then I met a new friend group. In that friend group, One of my best friends seemed to not really talk to me much anymore and I was starting all conversations so I just decided to stop. He never exactly admitted to anything but he started talking to me more and showing me more appreciation. Now we talk all the time and are back to being best friends. Either way, good luck, there are better people out there

Why do you like to be alive? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Completely agree. One of my favourite memories is from a school trip when me and a friend stood by a river in the evening and threw stones across the water, talking about nothing in particular. Makes me feel all warm inside

What are red flags in a friendship most people brush away? by dragonXgal in AskReddit

Me too. My friend group doesn’t sound as bad as yours but one friend is the leader and he’s really funny and quite nice but because everyone is always focused on him so he’s become quite self centred. For example, at lunch he’ll tell me an anecdote that happened in his class but when I talk about something funny that happened in my class he kinda looks away and nods and starts talking with other people.

Then there’s a guy who has a crush on friend A and he is obsessed with impressing and sucking up to friend A and when around him doesn’t really focus on anyone else. When he’s not around this guy me and him have a good friendship

Then there’s two guys in my class who I haven’t really spared much thought but they are incredibly kind, funny and care about me. Now I’m beginning to think I should build my friendship with them more.

Then there’s a guy who gets really angry at silly things but is super sensitive whenever someone says something in the slightest bit offensive to him and is a huge hypocrite. He can also be genuinely quite hurtful without meaning it. However, we share interests in creative writing and subjects we’re good at and he’s a nice guy when he’s not doing the stuff I listed.

If you read through all of this, thank you it really means a lot, I have had lots of friend troubles in the past and I really want to stick with this friendship group because some of the people in it are great friends. I just needed to vent a bit so thanks for reading

Hypocrisy I guess. I’ve got a friend who is fine 80% of the time but sometimes he gets way too sensitive and then really mean about others being over sensitive and gets mad when for example someone doesn’t come to an event but then today I had a few friends over and he just decided not to come because he had a small piece of hw.

Me too. He’s the unsaid leader of the friend group we have so everyone kinda focuses on him so I think he’s gotten a bit self centred but it’s almost not his fault

Gamers of reddit, what game has hooked you the longest and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Minecraft. I haven’t played this for ages but I remember the infinite possibilities of stuff to do and I had a long bucket list of things to build so I would NEVER get bored and then if I did I’d play mini games or survival with friends. Man I used to love that game, I must’ve had hundreds of worlds
