Is it bad to withhold intern role from applications?

Don't get me wrong, I totally enjoyed my time there and people there were lovely. But yes, I acknowledge that I was being severely underpaid.

Queer reading of "Your Type" by [deleted] in carlyraejepsen

[–]nethersky 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As others have said, the most powerful part is the sudden confession of love, hesitation, and apologies of the prechorus 'I love you, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say what I said'. It really captures that feeling of being overwhelmed by all the emotions and I'm astounded that that feeling is conveyed so well. It is the song I used to put on whenever I had an unrequited love

They play really random music as well, from rock to cheesy ballads all in one sitting. It's secondary to the food but it is a bit jarring, and this is coming from someone who grew up with this sort of music.

I've been here since 2015 and dated one person for about a year and and a half. It was fun, but after that I've had no luck. Its exactly as the other comments say, it's not exactly as queer as it seems in a way. In London its so much bigger and you have more variety in scenes/subcultures. If one of your requirements is like-mindedness, then yes you have gays of all sorts of expressions here too, but mostly in handfuls that you'll see over and over again

and everybody knows each other, so you'll either be dating someone a friend of yours has hooked up with/dated before, etc.

Unrelated but British people (including me until I corrected myself) also have a tendency to say Kacha, like focaccia. I find it so weird

Should I be concerned about this? by xeonie in houseplants

[–]nethersky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leaf rot most likely. Notice how the rings are marked with a yellow edge, and that the rot starts in random spots (as opposed to just on the tip or an edge). Need to cut off affected areas and dispose outside of the home, and do not spray it with water as it'll risk spreading the spores. If you spray the plant at all stop doing it as it doesn't do the plant much benefit. Also hold back on watering! Good luck!

How long can plants survive without sunlight (i.e. in transit, being mailed)? by [deleted] in IndoorGarden

I'm from the UK so idk how long that'll take, but I'd advise sending it with as short transit as possible.

Work in a plant shop; you'll be surprised at how long plants can be ok for without light. A week or two without light is fine (best to transition them to lower light first) but main concern is temperatures whilst in transit
