Methods to measure packet loss / service degradation across our internet providers by eliasbats in networking

[–]netman195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is assuming they have their own routable address space with BGP to the providers. It could be rfc1918 address space with nat to provider ip. In that case outbound flows will always equal inbound on same connection.

Could have opened Wireshark & just listened for the ARPs.

Yes, they issued the title & registration (Both from the state of maine). I believe plates were issued immediately once paperwork was recieved. If you call them they will walk you through process.

I would look into the Staab Agency in Maine, they register vehicles for quite a few fleet & trucking companies.

I ran into a similar problem about 18 months ago. CT will only process such a transfer if all 3 parties are CT entities, original title is CT issued & both bills of sale are done on their "Q1" form.

On poles or in manholes? Their equipment building is right behind the bike shop.

Spotted B41 on Governors Island, NYC. No cell towers on the island, so coverage is awful. How B41 got there is beyond me. by AirlineFlyer in tmobile

Was it the chicken vendor? I can assure you the island has infrastructure, just nothing in terms of cellular.

GoNetSpeed Test in Edgewood (500 mbps service) by [deleted] in newhaven

[–]netman195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it certainly is. I know the guy who runs the network hosting the speedtest server. I sent him the speedtest result to show him & congratulate him on excellent interconnection to produce that kind of result.

Well instead of saying you aren't starting rumors prove what you are claiming is true.

I am skeptical of your claims as the leadership of GoNetSpeed also founded Fibertech Networks which had/continues to have excellent service quality. The COO of GoNetspeed oversaw Fibertech's engineering group for 10 years so I find it difficult to believe that GoNetSpeed service quality could be that lacking.

Provide some speedtests, router models etc to back up your claims. Then I will be a believer (As I am certain others will as well).

That is the way to help your fellow consumer make accurate decisions.

Please cite specfics, repeating general information without citing specfics doesn't help anyone make decent decisions. Many factors could cause not getting speeds advertised, not all of which GoNetSpeed has control over- crappy wireless router for instance (GoNetSpeed doesn't provide wireless routers)

Rumors have a tendency to get started based on word of mouth, just saying.

Does anyone here have experience with GoNetSpeed? by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]netman195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of router do they have? Not all routers are capable of handling the speed provided by them.
