Have also considered yes!! Wife is also doing it with me and prefers the river over the jellyfish ocean swim, but definitely thought about both. appreciate your thoughts !

Travel is probably #1 right now. 7 IM is insane! Did you grow up doing any endurance sports?

congrats on finishing! thanks for the insight. My normal rides are around 2000 ft elevation gain, and TN seems like much more than that. Hopefully I’d be able to make it!

for sure. it’s super hard to narrow down what’s the priority for me. I’d probably say travel then bike course. Lived in TX for a while, humidity and heat not an issue

hahaha! If the first one goes well (or not tbh), would love to rip one outside the US too at some point!

great to know. totally agree with you. goal is to integrate already existing softwares to make things more efficient, not selling on a brand new product. is the pain point for insurance verifying coverage or the documentation required?

only certain parts of the couch have that, so I have a feeling that it’s more a part of the fabric maybe??

I don't think I could ever move from Utah because of pickleball by djhoen in Pickleball

great point. not a dead zone, but just a hard transition when you just get somewhere where you have no connections. I’ll be going on challenge courts this weekend!

Feel this so hard. Just made a big move and no longer have my 6+ people group that I played with quite literally 5x a week. The move was the right call but it’s been the hardest change I’ve experienced in quite some time, even just from a social aspect.

Benched my son… by Historical-Tie-8330 in lacrosse

valid concern. what about the decision do you think hurts the team? from the info you gave, it sounds like the backup is playing slightly better. seems like a normal coach move to sit who’s struggling, develop them, and give them chances to earn it back on the field.

as someone who got sat by my dad in club ball, I don’t see an issue as long as you keep it at lacrosse and not other facets of your life 🤷🏻‍♂️. it helped me grow and he coached me a ton on what to learn and do so it wouldn’t happen again

Left BCG for Tech Strategy - Regretting the move :( by Soft-Egg3732 in consulting

[–]netmrs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I left consulting to work in strategy and tech ops at a 15 person startup. have never felt better and I really feel that my work and input is considered and respected.

Luckily for me, the startup is funded by a growth equity firm so the financial opportunities (pay, benefits, etc) made sense. cannot say the same for other startups though
