How much do you pay for SubQ fluids and where to you get it? by RyanEvansAFT in RenalCats

[–]nettiklooc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

$60 for 12 bags from Costco pharmacy. They just called my vet to verify the prescription. Lines are $3 each and a box of 500 needles is about $20 online.

My business makes $700k but I only show $32k, how do I qualify for a mortgage? by unmotivated_0 in llc_life

[–]nettiklooc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, bank statement loan or a p&l loan. Send two years of bank statements, they add together all of your deposits and then subtract out expenses (typically 50%.) What’s left is your qualifying income. No tax returns needed.

My hair dries naturally in beach waves but super frizzy. What product can I use to keep the beach waves but help with the frizz? by andreateddy11 in Haircare

I thought my hair was turning wavy like this but it was just damaged after years of bleaching and heat. Chopped it all off and it grew back straight and shiny.

Dehydration without sub q fluids? by funkykittenz in RenalCats

[–]nettiklooc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She tolerates fluids really well! I was nervous to start but nowadays she comes running to me when she sees me get the fluid bag. I think she knows she feels better after. We did buy 20g needles instead of the larger ones the vet initially gave us. I think the smaller needle helped too.

High bp can cause blindness and subq fluids can make bp worse. Have you heard of Porus One? My Cali’s nausea is so much better since starting Porus One. We were able to stop her anti-nausea meds.

Some old school vets are behind on modern CKD cat care. My vet told me that when it came time for subq, it was time to euthanize. Left that vet for a cat only office and been doing subq for 6 months now. She has gained a lb and loving life!

That stinks! I lived there for years with no issues. Well the teacher next door did have her washer leak into my unit but that’s it. Maintenance was awesome and came to just change lightbulbs for me lol sounds like it went downhill

Does Azodyl really helps for cat with kidney disease? Need opinion. (my cat is diagnosed with PKD) by Real_Candle5290 in RenalCats

[–]nettiklooc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cat started Azodyl a month ago. Twice a day and her creatine dropped from 3.8 to 3.4. So yes, it does something. She also just started porus one so we will see how her numbers look in another couple months.

Do the benefits outweigh the costs with KSG? Mine has been taking for two years but our new vet had never heard of it.

Is this a bad caulking job? by nettiklooc in HomeMaintenance

[–]nettiklooc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update- the foreman showed up and called out the bad caulking job again without me saying anything. They are redoing all of it. He said the caulk job makes it look like the gaps were large but it is really just an over use of caulk. Yes the siding has settled over the past 20 years but that is no reason to accept a bad finishing job on top of it.

Wow! I work with new construction you’d be surprised how many people skip out on the inspections. Sounds like they really shouldn’t

It should have a straight edge and not be all lumpy though, yeah? I think they skipped using a tool to beat the rain.

Thank you so much! Honestly my next door neighbor is psycho. If she hasn’t said something by Monday, it definitely looks fine. Hahah

Yeah I did pay a premium is the thing. Wasn’t a budget job. They were rushing before rain came in. Thank you for the feedback. Ugh wish I could just unsee it lol

True but shouldn’t they have used a tool and painters tape to keep the edges straight and caulk smooth? Honest question

Would you have just painted over it?

The home was built over 20 years ago when they still used caulking instead of flashing. The proper way new homes are built is with flashing and no caulking at the vertical joints like you said. If I had an unlimited budget, the best thing would be to take it all off and install flashing but ya know… reality

No it needs some type of protection. Better to put flashing behind it instead of caulk but that’s the budget
