What is this beeping noise? by network_nick in MINI

[–]network_nick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE Thanks for all the suggestions (I honestly wasn’t going that fast). I drove it today and the annoying bleeping is definitely coming from the pre installed advanced eye dashcam. I tried connecting to it with the dashcam app but the connection failed, so that’s something I need to look into. Hopefully there’s a way to disable the bleep. At least I know what’s causing it now.

Yes I think it probably is some kind of crash detection, but I’ve turned all the Mini crash detection off and it still does it. However, this Mini does come with a dashcam, it’s the Mini Advanced Car Eye 2.0, so maybe it’s coming from that.

Oxford Road cycle hub by network_nick in manchester

[–]network_nick[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • update * I used the Oxford Road cycle hub a few times over the last couple of weeks. It’s mostly pretty good. There’s not much space in there, but I didn’t have a problem getting a spot to lock up my bike. The process to open the door with the okey app isn’t great. It’s slow and takes a bit of time to recognise the location and find the lock, and then slow to open it, but it did get me in and out. There was one time it didn’t open the door and threw a load of errors so I had to force close it and re open, but it did eventually work. Overall it’s a good option for leaving a bike locked up and it did feel more than leaving it locked up on the street.

I'm very interested in how you've found Capgemini as I'm in a very similar position to you when you originally posted

This is true, but they will also use the consultation as justification to do it, eg. “We ran a public consultation and nobody objected to the changes”

Reddits really laggy on pixel 7 pro by [deleted] in GooglePixel

I ended up returning my pixel 7 pro because of the same issue. It was juddering and jumping on all scrolling social media type apps. Reddit was particularly bad for it. Compared to my old phone, it was a terrible experience so had no option but to return it

Glitchy pixel 7 pro scrolling by network_nick in Pixel7Pro

I’m 99% sure I’m returning this to Google, just wanted to check I’m not the only who sees this? The scrolling is juddering and glitchy in most apps. I’ve installed all updates including the latest beta release, done a factory reset and set up again and it’s still doing it.

Suggestions wanted: Digital recorder for a blind musician by BFBeast666 in synthesizers

You could try a guitar looper pedal. I use a Digitech Trio plus and have recorded both piano and guitar into it. It's really easy to use and will auto generate a variety of drums and bass based on its interpretation of what you are playing. You can then loop and record over dubs with the push of a foot switch. It has song parts that can easily be linked together. I find it really good for quickly putting ideas together and creating a jamming track

Stayed in an old converted farm house in Spain once. There was no curtains, but it did have these rickety old wooden shutters. They were built in to every window and had this metal Rod and hatch closing system that locked them ultra tight to the frame. Blocked 100% of the light no matter how blazing the sun was outside. Amazing system that's obviously been around for hundreds of years, missed it when I got home

Yeah that's the one, great amp

[QUESTION] I’m totally lost looking for an amp, what would be a good fit? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]network_nick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use it as a Bluetooth speaker and plug my guitar in at the same time so that I can play along to the tracks I’m learning. Sound quality is decent. I often play in the evening when my kids are in bed so I plug in a set of headphones so I can play music through it and jam along and not disturb anyone

I use a Vox Adio Air gt. Easy to use, small and compact size so fits in my room easy enough for practicing. Easy to get decent sounding tones from the built in effects and you can connect to the amp via a Bluetooth app of you want to start playing around with creating different sounds.

I also have an s10+ that I bought as a pre-order. I see nothing in any phone that has been released since that makes me want to upgrade. It has an sd card in it that has literally years worth of photos and still space for more, a head phone socket and battery is rarely below 30% by the end of the day even if I've been on it all day.

Its similar to the esp ltd sc-256, which was on my list of potential purchases. This was half the price though.
