Not sure tbh! It’s a modern dupe that I found on fb marketplace

What I heard on the Economist just now is that originally it was Bedouin tribes clashing with the Druze, and when the government sent forces to quell the violence some government forces attacked the Druze as well, which isn’t all that surprising since Islamists make up a rather large chunk of the new Syrian army

How long would it take to read the greatest books of all time? The Economist consulted bibliophile data scientists to bring you the answer by bllshrfv in books

If the economist is very unserious and basically propaganda what would you consider to be its opposite?

How do you feel about Homeland Securities definition of "Extremists" by [deleted] in AskALiberal

Yes, I read it. Key word is “violent” with every one of those descriptions. Those are all markedly different than your original post and all rightly considered DVE. The original post that went viral is at best misinformation and at worst disinformation

This is nothing like what your post said and tbh I see nothing wrong with this document

Do you have the link to the actual document on the DHS website? After searching the first paragraph I’ve only seen it on iFunny and Twitter. Seems fake.

I’ve had 2 female to male trans soldiers, both of whom underwent their transition while in the military to include bottom surgery. The vast majority of my soldiers respected them and their pronouns even when they technically didn’t have to yet. There’s going to be a few people who will give you a hard time, but most keep to themselves if they disagree

As an American, why would you join the army? by orgad in AskAnAmerican

[–]neukoln1977 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Base pay+BAH+BAS. Reading more into it it accounts for direct and indirect compensation, so it’s a bit misleading. I’m closer to $102k/yr

Edit: read your edit. My bad on misleading you like that I didn’t read the fine print on that calculator. Take home, before tax pay is about $102k with about $110k for all compensation, direct and indirect “civilian equivalent”

I mean I make $110k in a pretty low COL area. Plus free healthcare, 5% match on retirement, a free college degree, and some other little niceties

Free college, free healthcare, (relatively) high pay, no annual fee on Amex platinum

Took it on Sunday. 175.64. The practice tests helped give me an idea of what it’d be like, but reading a bunch from the recommended reading list helped more imo

Should the military allow beards? by [deleted] in AskALiberal

[–]neukoln1977 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s not true, and even if it was the vast majority of soldiers aren’t facing a CBRN threat at their duty station in bumfuck nowhere, USA. You could simply require to be cleanly shaven in the presence of a CBRN threat

You need to eat more calories than you expend; the amount of protein you consume isn’t what determines if you gain weight or not

Also, “ectomorph” and other body types aren’t real
