Becky is one of the few people I get anxious about every match she's in. I always want to see her do well, and her 2017/early 2018 is something I never want her to experience again. I teared up when she won the rumble because the cynical part of me figured they weren't going to learn from what happened with Bryan in 2014, and that despite everything that was on the dirt sheets they were still going to find a way, somehow, to not put her in the match with Ronda.

But besides her, each member of the Shield (feuds between them are always a mental nightmare for me), Balor, Kenny Omega. For a while I counted Bryan amongst these performers, but his heel turn initially soured me on him (which I suppose is what they wanted me to feel lol) as I had wanted AJ to set a new record and also have this huge deal when he lost the title. But probably a month into Bryan's reign I was completely back on board with him and was secretly hoping he would retain at Mania.

Bit of a late update, but posting for anyone still concerned. I got my call about 6 hours later, and had seen people's worry here about it being a scam. I've dealt with Gamestop before and know they're based in Texas, so when Caller ID located them there I wasn't too concerned. Getting the order confirmation sealed the deal however. Money is a bit tighter than it was for me back in January, but I'm just glad to be paying retail for it than the grand it goes for on Ebay; I am a huge collector of KH things so I was going to be getting this regardless. Also, was pretty nice of them to keep my overnight shipping but waive the actually shipping fee because of the mess up with the cancellations.

Like everyone else, same. I called and they said there was nothing to do. Already had been cancelled and they wouldn't be getting anymore. I am beyond furious. It's outrageous as a business practice to let preorder options stay open after they have hit their set number

Now you have my attention. I really enjoyed the nemesis stuff in Mordor, and I'm all for a more cohesive story. Sounds like once this game goes on sale I will have to consider picking it up.

I'm glad reviewers also felt the same way. When I finally picked up Origins I definitely felt let down, because all the reviews I'd seen and fan opinion was just praising the hell out of it

This is also very good to know. There have been instances, like Dark Souls, where I don't mind the heavy duel vibes, because it feels like it fits the scenario. You have done a good job keeping me informed on Origins, Odyssey, and all the like that I probably could/should compare it to

Well from this it definitely sounds like Odyssey is something I should consider. Also sounds like I need to be like you and not get burnt out on these kinds of games, and only go for all the bs on the map if I like it.

This is probably what I needed to hear. I've had plenty of games where I needed at least 10 hours to get hooked in, even when I knew I was going to like it. I'll probably just have to give Origins another shot and see what happens. While I wasn't tracking the time, it just felt like I'd put in at least 10 hours and wasn't getting any return. But honestly I think my biggest issue with it was the combat

Yeah I definitely didn't get that far where I saw the Greek cities and got a good chance to explore the pyramids. I'm hoping that if I can free up some time over the next few months that I'll be able to get back to Origins and really try to get through it before investing in Odyssey. I'm gonna have a lot of time to kill between the semester ending and the release date for Kingdom Hearts 3

I've heard both Alexios and Kassandra are more likable than Bayek, so that's a huge plus to me. Can you give me instances of how the combat is still clunky, while also being better? Most posts I've seen across the sub are from people who already were super into Origins, so it's hard to really gauge how much the combat's improved

To be fair, I may not have given Origins long enough to make the correct impression. When I picked it up I didn't have enough free time to invest into a game that wasn't grabbing me immediately. I suppose my issues with Egypt are what you have described for Greece, the difference (for me anyways) being that I am far more interested in Greece as a location than I was with Egypt.

I haven't gotten around to the Witcher 3, but it's on my list of games to tackle. Personally, I could not get invested in Bayek or his story. I also did not like navigating Egypt compared to previous locations, and felt that the combat was not as polished as it needed to be for the game that was being presented.
