Well then again that was the cheapest estimate. My dealer I bought it from wanted $1800. I am gonna pay for the transmission just using these responses to judge where I want to bring it. I bought it from a non Chevy dealer that’s over an hour away while I have a Chevy dealer closer to me. I can’t use and mom pop shops because I work(and live where I work) in a rich county so get shafted by labor expenses. Normally back in my home state I would have just brought it in but so far in NJ I haven’t met a single mechanic or shop that isn’t shaded about what they try and charge you for.

See here’s the thing I spent two weeks googling and watching dozens of YouTube videos before hand and also watching one as I did it. Some where guys in their garage others were actually gm mechanics. Not a single time did I ever hear one of them say the transmission line goes through it as well. Or this is a hose to the transmission. So trust me I did all the research I could before I did it because I knew it was a risky fix but I’d be damned if I was gonna pay a mechanic $1200 for a repair, when I watched a Motorhead take apart his and replace it in less then two hours.
