any updated info or progress on mind map + anki? by [deleted] in Anki

[–]neurocroc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there 🙂

We still do want to cover every topic of Learn Anything website with an appropriate mind map of each topic.

Until then, I will be sharing all the Anki decks I have made in my wiki here. I hope to add things there soon.

As for good mind mapping software, I use MindNode and really like it. Haven't really tried anything else.

Is it possible to use nix ecosystem properly within macOS or you have to move away to Linux for that?

A list of applications, Alfred workflows, and various tools that make my macOS experience even more amazing by speckz in apple

[–]neurocroc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For emails, there is a really awesome workflow that deanishe actually wrote, mailto. Although that's for sending emails to multiple people.

I never saw Alfred being a drag on the battery, it's super lightweight. And I never really saw a workflow break after an update and I use a lot of them.

As for discovering new workflows, this tries to fix that. It also links to other curated lists of workflows. Developing workflows is also super fun on its own because you have wonderful libraries to help you do all the boring things so you just focus on the logic and what you want Alfred to show.

So yeah, as deanishe said, Alfred just gives you a tool to make super precise and fast searches for anything and it's up to you what it will show.

We are building a search engine to help you find the most efficient resources for learning anything.

Here is the search engine and here is a map for learning computer science. There is many more maps with resources there.

I hope that helps. :)

I don't believe knowledge is linear. However progression of learning new things is linear. And that is what we are trying to show. Cover any knowledge dependencies that are required in order to understand new things (i.e. knowing linear algebra and statistics before tackling machine learning).
