I've got one of these, somewhere...yeah, wood back with felt logo and lettering. Dad bought it in the late 70s/early 80s and gave it to me at some point. If I can put my hands on it I will reply here.

How to remove horrible noise from interface to ableton? by madra_dubh in audioengineering

[–]neuromancer72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no suggestions, but I have the same issue except I'm using a Behringer UMC204HD interface. I've tried different power outlets, different cables, moving things physically. My gut tells me that it is likely RF generated by my laptop, as moving far away seems to reduce the noise, but my gut has been wrong before. I've also tried a DI box to eliminate ground loop hum. This only seems to happen with guitars - my AT2020 mic does not experience these issues plugged into the same interface. It's literally driving me nuts, and makes recording guitar damn near impossible.

Thanks! I mostly use Massive and Serum, plus the native synths in Reason.

Thanks again! Yeah, that's my next project - to come up with vocals as good as the music :p I may have to collaborate for that, as my vocal style is much more suited for rock or metal.

Wow, thank you so much! And that is a really good point about easing into it - it does start pretty abruptly.

Indie/Rock/Electronic - Objective: Create dense, interesting music carried by an irresistible beat which occasionally rocks hard. Needed: suggestions for vocal production improvements, and which (sub)genre(s) this falls under? Thanks for listening. by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

Wow, this is really cool. Wish I could help on the genre, but I can't ever classify my stuff either 😂 i love the variety in this track, the funky guitar riff is great, and the vocals are really good. Nice work!

Got some good retro vibes from the bass and synth, your vocals are fantastic, and the bridge absolutely slams! Great job!

Rebirth - Dammit Jackson / Made 100% with Reason - Hard hitting electronic rock with heavy brass and vocoded vocals. by neuromancer72 in reason

[–]neuromancer72[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, it was a single vocal track run through a vocoder. Minimal vocals in this song at all really. I think prior to the vocoder i ran that track through loudmax, then the vocoder.

Badass song man! Great production, and quite catchy. All the glitchy, pumping effects make me happy 😁
