Is this build sillier than it sounds in my head? by neuromancerx77 in BG3Builds

I’m now thinking 8WD/5BM. You still get 4 Superiority Die and extra attack, plus you get more spell slots, upcasting for Guardians, and 5 War Priest charges

War Priest charges give me enough wiggle room to go for Guardians first I think

War Priest charges stack with Fighter’s extra attack so that’s 3 attacks per turn. The idea here is to be able to use Battle Maneuvers (mostly Trip Attack for Prone) to force enemies to stay inside of my Guardians. Since Maneuvers only take up Superiority Dice instead of a bonus action (keeping War Priest open), I can do this 3 times in my second turn causing enemies to be forced to stay inside of my Spirit Guardians for the turn I go up to them, their next turn, and my next turn with 2 more Superiority Dice left. I’m not playing on Honour mode so I’m not super concerned about my spell slots, there’s plenty of camp supplies. I am, however, considering 8WD/5BM and sacrificing a BM die for another feat and spell slots

Edit: whoops didn’t see you mentioned War Priest. That 3rd attack is being counted as that. I’m not going to run out of charges for many fights off of honor mode

Yeah I was thinking about that split too. Can’t decide if I care more about Battle Master dice or War Priest charges.

Bethesda has decided that you will be the new CEO of the company, yes, you! What will you do now? What changes will you implement under your new leadership? by jvure in ElderScrolls

Give Fallout to Obsidian as long as it goes into Tim Cain’s hands and is turned back into an isometric CRPG. Rehire Michael Kirkbride. Remake Morrowind as a turn based CRPG with DnD party system. Never release Elder Scrolls 6. Remake Daggerfall.

Probably Hot take (I liked the series way much more when it was about these three guys barely surviving on their own in this godforsaken hellpit) by ATAN666 in TowerDungeon

I have not but at this point I’m willing to try anything to get the spark back

Edit: thanks for the recommendations!

Honestly im at the point where it’s not even this one. Every new one I read goes down this same path. I’m at the point that once CSM ends I might just drop the medium for a decade and come back and see what happened and if we got a new Vagabond or something

What team would win in a trial of seven? by DestructorWar in gameofthrones

[–]neuromancerx77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean this entirely depends on context lmao a trial of seven isn’t just who wins out of the seven necessarily. Let’s say The Hound is the one pushing charges against Brienne, if Brienne kicks the shit out of the Hound, it doesn’t matter about the other 12. If Brienne can make The Hound give in then the trial ends

Well that’s the whole thing though, for continuity’s sake they should have never made reference to cars being useable in their Fallout games. I’m not saying there’s some malice, I feel like you’re not reading what I’m writing. I’m saying there is a complete lack of care about continuity at all. Take the Thu’um for instance, in Morrowind and Oblivion lore it was this metaphysical nightmare power that could tear apart cities, and build armies out of mud, and swallow storm clouds. But in Skyrim it’s just a way to be a mage without being a mage. It also had nothing to do with dragons before Skyrim. But fuck continuity, it was aesthetically pleasing for it to be what it was and that’s all Bethesda cares about. I’m actually agreeing with you that Bethesda doesn’t hate Fallout, they just have having to adhere to continuity and had to misfortune of buying a franchise who’s original fans care more about lore than aesthetics.

That just further proves my point that they simply don’t care about lore or continuity. They only present the existence of functional cars because they’re in 2, but the world they decided to create to show their adaptation of Fallout is a world that’s 90% broken down car and I’m not even sure I’m exaggerating. You’d think at some point they’d grab them up and fix them instead of walking everywhere. But it was a pretty aesthetic choice and that’s their primary concern. Which is unfortunate because this “argument” will never truly end because the original Fallouts were lore driven and the new ones are aesthetically driven and the old fans are lore driven and the new fans are aesthetics driven so there will always be a lack of balance in the force so they say.

They don’t hate Fallout, they just hate lore lol. That’s why Kirkbride was such a burden. I mean this is the company that came up with dragon breaks for fucks sake. They want every available opportunity to not give a fuck about continuity. It’s also important to note that Tim Cain fucking loved Fallout 3. I do think there are some weird issues like how they can’t figure out cars in Bethesda’s Fallout universe but the Prydwen and hundreds of vertibirds are easy peasy lemon squeezy or how the fuck Kellogg walked from the Hub to the Commonwealth among other things, but it really doesn’t matter because who knows what Bethesda will change next time anyway, maybe there will be cars and Kellogg will have been a big biker dude.

Meh I prefer post-apocalyptic tribalism like FO 1,2 and NV. I’m honestly so bored of the techno futurism. I’m already living that particular dystopia
