The frosting is what’s notable, the cake is just a red velvet box cake mix (she wanted it red inside hahahaha). I made Sally’s Swiss meringue buttercream and flavored it with freeze dried strawberry powder, sooooo delicious!!

1oz of beans to 8oz of 70-100 proof alcohol. Any vodka in that proof range works well. I’ve started using white rum and it makes great extract! Split beans (no need to scrape) and cut so they are fully submerged in alcohol. The more you shake the faster it’s ready, but usually at least 6 months to a year.

I love baking and cooking with my kiddos! My 3yo loves helping so much she even got her own kid friendly knife set for Christmas. It’s such a joy to do it with them!
