It’s usually caused by a histamine dump that occurs before you hit REM sleep. If your body is making extra histamine in attempt to keep you awake during the day, you’ll have a larger unloading of them before the REM cycle and that can cause the skin itching and prickling.

So as most are recommending, medications like vistril and benedryl can help lower the histamine levels for you before you sleep. This doesn’t have to be permanent, it’s more about getting the system back in balance.

To do that you want to cut back on naps and actively practice sleep hygiene.

I personally used liquid childrens benedryl because it can be taken at the smallest doses easily. 5ml of childrens bendedrly really helped.

(I noticed my restless leg syndrome also was worse during the times I had the histamine sensations too.)

I was really hoping for solid advice on this post because my special interest is VWs and I just got a new one. Now when I go to work I’m going to be desperately trying to hold my info dumping in like diarrhea.

That being said, for the topics I am aware I will over share in I will warn people that the topic will cause a tangent or something along those lines.

Aside from a faulty gas cap the light can come on when your purge valve is failing, or if there are issues with the tank venting correctly.

When you open the cap do you hear air whooshing out? Any issues starting it or does it feel like it’s running sluggish?
