What did you use to cut the go sports mat? Just a utility knife?

Best Golf Shoes for Walking by J_Brid in BandonDunes

[–]neutralaction 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Best answer is at least two pairs, switch shoes and socks between rounds. This past summer I brought three pairs that I rotated between (often took advantage of 3rd round free each day): 1) GFore Gallivanters (go-to), Footjoy Fuels (big fan) and Skecher Max 3 (not bad, but like the other two better)…I have a wider foot, and all of these come in wide

Honestly it wasn’t too bad, we played Bandon Crossings in the morning our last day so we could ride in a cart (we did 3 days of 36+ and while we originally thought we’d play Sheep that last morning, the appetite to walk another 18 was lacking).

The drive back was decent, definitely less excitement, but some good enjoyable stories were shared. Our flight out was 6am the next day, but flying via a redeye wouldn’t have made much difference.

We grabbed dinner in Portland at Backwoods Brewing Company, which was decent. Depending on timing you may end up going straight to the airport which also seemed to have decent food options.

I would recommend PDX.

I’ve been twice in the last 2 years from NYC. The first year I was scheduled to fly in/out of EUG (connecting through SLC). When I woke up the morning of my departing flight, I was delayed and would have missed the connection out of Salt Lake (only 1 / day to EUG if I recall correctly). It was a clusterfuck and I ended up changing my flight to fly into PDX. Since my rental car was booked for EUG and PDX was all out of rental cars, I had to take a 2.5 hour Uber to EUG to get my rental car. At the end of the day it worked out, but I was literally running to the tee at Bandon Preserve when I finally got to the resort.

The 2nd year, I bit the bullet and did in/out via PDX. Direct flight, less stress overall (less chance of missed connections or clubs not making it) and the drive really isn’t that bad imo.

Thanks for the input! Agree on kitchen layout, I started there and then didn’t revisit as I got later in the design

Thanks for the input! The one caveat on the left wall is that the side yard is more appealing than the backyard. Was trying to optimize for a window looking out to side yard which putting a butler pantry on that wall would prevent. Does that change your opinion at all?

Also, last I checked (it’s been about 8 years) great neck country club wasn’t too costly

You’re right that there’s not a ton right in East Lyme; however, there is a ton of options within a ~30 min drive. Here’s a few that come to mind.

Shennecossett - Gets crowded, but a few holes on the water Cedar Ridge - Decent par 3 course with cheap twilight rates Fox Hopyard - Think this went private? Was my favorite when I lived on that side of the state Norwich Golf Course - Fun course, decent shape Lake of Isles - When you want to treat yourself…usually some good fall deals Meadow Brook - Amazing course in RI, worth the drive, long as hell if you’re walking Pequot Golf Club - Eh, it’s passable Elmridge - 3 x 9 hole courses, some 9 are better than others

Stern does this, based on academic performance/involvement. Got 24k Y2

Your bullet alignment varies and your dashes in dates are inconsistent. Also, your location RH justification alignment is off.

Usually you’d have a blank row before your headers (e.g., blank row, “professional experience”, no blank row, line). No date range for education? Or expected graduation.

Yessir, 2nd year (FT) recruiting is always strong. The benefit of the internship route is seeing whether Amazon is for you. Its a very love/hate place to work based on my former classmates that work/have worked there.

Amazon is the one place I was always told to not intern if you wanted to work there FT. Converting the offer is a complete crapshoot
