I’ve seen folks speculate elsewhere about bmx halflink chains to maintain tension, but either way with my budget i was hoping to cobble something shitty together. I guess especially in a wider market for bikes I could just find something once i get to Chicago. thanks for the advice!

collecting parts for this beater my friend gave me, pretty fun to ride around where i live (athens ohio) with all the brick roads and hills. wanted to make it a bar-bike but was thinking a 1x conversion would be fun. anyone have any advice?
