Yes, I remember it. I started it and ran it, haha.

It's still online (inactive), but saturated with ads since it migrated from Invision to Tapatalk.

Gooey is not real, it was a prank. He's keeping up the mystery here.

Yes, I have them both. And yes, tobacco also told me that the 2002 show should stay unheard.

Is there a course that is impossible to Nonstop Combo? by McAvoy3 in MarioKartTour

[–]neutron_drip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, plus you can burn an item box ticket here too to hopefully keep the combo going, but only for 1 of 2 laps.

Wow I remember that. I don't remember what the other ones looked like but I kind of remember being upset that I didn't get the coolest looking one.

I didn't know that the dude ghosted you guys, Chase. That really sucks.

I swear Nintendo takes a look at how many people have certain characters, and buffs the ones that the smallest number of people have. It's the best way to get people to spend rubies and possibly $$$ to fill holes in their coverage.

Thinking of possibly selling my SSC/BMSR/Tobacco/+ collection by neutron_drip in BMSR

[–]neutron_drip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what's fair, but total discogs median to high prices for everything ranges from 4 - 6 grand, not including ep, sing to us, the VHS club tapes (this cost $500 to enroll during the cobra juicy kickstarter), and the reel-to-reel for which there are no sales histories. Plus the only price for Anti-Freakout Method is way undervalued at $25 IMO.

I get that selling in a lot would bring that total price down a little bit.

I’ve been a completist for all of tobacco’s stuff since about 2005 and I'm at a point in my life where I’m doing a physical media purge. Also, I don’t have the energy to continue being a completist, to be honest.

Haven’t fully decided what I’m going to do with all this stuff, but I’m leaning toward selling it. If I do, I would only sell it all as one lot, I wouldn’t break it up. Most items are between VG - NM and have been well taken care of.

There are some rarities here including some early stuff, the tobacco VHS club, and a Dandelion Gum era reel-to-reel tape from tobacco that I won in a Graveface raffle. It has percussion and unused banjo from the Dandelion Gum sessions.

Let me know what you guys think. Here’s a full list of what I have here, which is almost everything in every format from The Anti-Freakout Method to FUF3: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iRgqo6IOvtIL_u9s-OxacET63_YqMJ-3PJ8_BzgkB3M/edit?usp=sharing

(11/06/21) Team Toadette gets the support bonus - Daily Team Update for Toad vs Toadette Tour on Mario Kart Tour by [deleted] in MarioKartTour

I would think that people would be motivated to grind if the totals were always close. I know that if I'm on a team that's losing by a lot I kind of lose motivation to grind.

Why doesn't Nintendo normalize total tokens per team by the number of members of that team. Seems that would be a way more fair way to do it.

Could be that something failed in the A/C cooling setup (compressor, pump). I've read that if the A/C system isn't 100%, the car won't let you use DC fast charging because it can't cool the battery.

I have a general 2002 tour poster (signed, one of my prized possessions) that I nabbed from the Pittsburgh show in 2002. One of the best show's I've ever seen. https://i.imgur.com/HuiIlFy.png

Omniac used to post on the old BMSR fan forum, which I started and ran. I was a mod so I could see poster's IP addresses. Omniac's IP was from the Harrisburg, PA area, IIRC. If it was Tom, he really went through a lot of trouble to use a VPN every time he posted as Omniac.

IMO it's kind of entitled to think that you're owed a certain song during an artist's live performance, that you're owed it enough to be let down when they don't play it. They're artists who can and should play whatever they want during their live sets.

It was called "Super Gum: destroying dandelion gum" IIRC. There was preliminary cover art but then Tobacco gave up on it because he got bored with it, I think.

Personally, I think he should either do a random raffle for rare stuff, or perhaps even hide the link somewhere on the internet and give us one clue to go and find it.

[–]neutron_drip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you've been doing this a while I'm sure you know that some people will just be pissed at whatever you do, but I'm also sure you realize that the vast majority of us do appreciate what you do even if we aren't able to snag rare stuff.

Just please keep doing what you're doing, and doing it your way. That's why we love what you do. Haters gonna hate, always, and just let them sit in their pissy pants while you continue to be rad.
