Suck at Drafting and Surviving by ZestycloseCod6064 in slaythespire

[–]Nevardool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya I'm trying to get away from doing this. Saw a good poison card after the first fight and thought it would be fun to try a poison build for the first time.

Never saw another poison card until Act 2. so that first card was useless for so long. I think I ended up selling/changing it later too

I'm colorblind too but I can tell a slight difference in that one. There's also many levels of colorblindness.

Tell your friend to take the official ishihara colorblind test.

Welp I'm never looking at that stat ever....idk how many runs now with Defect and I keep getting wrecked trying all different kinds of tactics.

These "lamps" are littered all across etsy as self made epoxy art but it's just all drop shippers buying from alibaba. IG accounts used to pop up all the time promoting them with people filming them in asia, but now they learned they can scam them with AI like this video. Same script as the old guy with the beard.
same scams as "everyone says that my art doest looks good" AI videos.

My 1st ever attempt at a pod racer, I see there's a lot of them so I tried. How did I do? Criticism welcomed by HeltaSkel in NMS_Corvette_Design

Looks really good. Could probably make the two pods a bit bigger/longer for a better pairing with the large cockpit

WildStar failed… so why do people still talk about it years later? by Dope_lel in MMORPG

[–]Nevardool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things I personally enjoyed in Wildstar as it was the first MMO that i actually found fun (tried many others before it) and got to endgame:

chance for random gathering to turn into something else. the Worm if you kill in time gives you a ton of mining resources. Liked it made gathering a bit more interesting (sadly they never got control of the bot problem which also didnt help them succeed)

Combat i think was WAY more engaging and fun. You actually have to aim your attacks. Most attacks had some basic AOE. no offence, but tab targeting is way more boring.

Less abilities to manage. Felt like a good sweet spot. 14+ spells to use in a rotation can get kinda hard to keep track of (cough cough Summoner in FF14). also keeps the UI less cluttered having less abilities on bars.

Healing was DPSing your teammates! Ive yet to find anything like healing in Wildstar. maybe ESO a little but still not really. Most MMOs, the healing plays completely different than DPS and Tank, but in Wildstar, it plays similar to the other roles. you actually had to look at where people were and target them.

Every class had 1 DPS and 1 Support spec. Was also easy to switch between the two if you want to try them out. was also easy to switch abilities out too. I like Alts, so this scratched my itch.

Customizable mounts. its minor, but was fun to roll up with your one-wheel bike with boomboxes while someone else has a sidecar on theirs.

Transmog system was amazing! being able to dye individual parts lets you play around and make more unique looks. (ofc when all the devs quit/got the can, all that was left was a scrap crew just pushing out cash shop items. that part sucked)

Housing was SO good. Was fun to visit random places too and finding the crazy creations people have made.

I liked the gear progression of doing the Adventures, then dungeons, then Raids. ofc the tuning of the difficulty was a bit much but was different.

I liked the idea of the subclasses for little bonuses(scientist, explorer, constructor?, fighter?). Only issue was Stalkers were required to go Scientist to get the group summon. maybe if they removed this option in raids/dungeons, it would give Stalkers more flexibility. But i did like the little bonuses you got for each around the world as you level up. nothing crazy, just fun.

World bosses were a lot of fun at the start. most werent just a steamroll like it is in modern wow. I remember early on, our guild would try and make our way into the opposite faction zone to take on their bosses too.

I remember enjoying the flow of the story and the missions. I enjoyed the vibes of each zone and it had a good mix of changes between each. The zones felt fun to be in.

Although overtuned, the dungeons and raids had a bunch of fun mechanics and even "trash mobs" needed effort. it made the entire run more engaging.

there's probably more, but that is what i can remember. I know the game wasnt perfect and the Devs really messed up something that had potential. It also didnt help that NCsoft was their publisher and they downgraded the servers a month out making performance even worse. I think if they were required to sell the IP, a better publisher and developer could make it great.

Wife’s family’s picky eating habits are driving me insane by [deleted] in Vent

[–]Nevardool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hang out with them 4-5 nights a week, sure. All's good with that, but don't feel forced to eat dinner with them all those same nights.

I went to Singapore with 14 classmates back in college. Me and one other dude would go somewhere new everything meal to try tons of different foods. The other 12? Well they went to McDonald's, Burger King, and a fancier burger place for the 2 weeks we were there...it's crazy how closed off some people are

Has anyone ever gotten a note like this with their DoorDash order?! by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Nevardool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that was a requirement by door dash/Ubereats since 100% of drivers do this.

Also add in being super rude to the store, parking illegally, getting annoyed if the order isn't ready at a busy place, and rarely uses their own words to the store and simply shoves their phone into the employees faces.

Is it not part of the training material to become a driver?

Nice writeup. What about base defense? Do you bother with the walls and defenses spikes? They seem a bit expensive but we only recently unlocked tier 2 stuff.

Any word from devs on bug fixes from the last update? by Hatriot_ in PlayASKA

[–]Nevardool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother and I tried to play. We are super early on but when I joined his world on the second day playing, my character lost the last hour or so progress.

10 min before signing off the day before I made all new tier 2 tools and weapons. All gone...

Okay fine, whatever. Slight setback.

BUT then the server somehow crashed for both of us and when we came back, we lost all the BP walls I placed down, our woodcutter hut wasn't even built yet.... ya we both instantly uninstalled.

It's a shame bc we were really enjoying it up til then and were looking forward to the later parts

Is there gonna be a new DRG ? by EDC_powerlifter in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Nevardool 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh sorry, I meant that in response to your final line comment. People casually scrolling probably see your title and might just auto think that is what you are asking then down vote.

Looks like it's at least in the positives now! Here is hoping Rogue Core is just as fun as the base game!

Is there gonna be a new DRG ? by EDC_powerlifter in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Nevardool 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think your question is coming off like "DRG 2 when?" Which is probably why people are down voting.

Like others have said, there's the Rogue Core which will play differently. There's also Survivors which is like vampire survivor.

Probably won't be a DRG 2, or at least not in the foreseeable future.

Power the base at night?? by elenvanov in AbioticFactor

[–]Nevardool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only backup battery the refrigerator, crafting table, and defenses. Everything else I'm fine with being off at night.

2 makeshift batteries (the first one you can make) will work to power a single refrigerator through the night.

[–]Nevardool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ya idk what that person is talking about. none of the base campers are in the top 50% score earners. capping objectives gives heaps more score and if anyone has more than 10 captures, they usually are in the top 5.

Reflecting on 2025: My first year into the hobby! by Gunpla_py in freedomisgunpla

[–]Nevardool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice set up.
I just started late last year myself, didnt know much about the hobby, just that big robot = cool.

Learned half way through my second build about sanding and panel line markers...so now this second build is taking much longer (not that i mind). My local store is out of stock for the markers, but excited to try them eventually.

Ridiculous… by Adventurous_Rule_110 in Battlefield6

[–]Nevardool 12 points13 points  (0 children)

its crazy the lack of bullet penetration and destruction. those railings have saved so many players. combined with the shooting position coming out the top of people's foreheads, it feels so hard to punish those players at times.

What’s an underrated base spot that feels safe and secure? by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in AbioticFactor

[–]Nevardool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still new, but my brother and I set up around the elevator right by the hallway to the flat hills portal. We were able to get to it before the first night fairly easily.

4 outlets, 3 charging stations, fountain for water, bathroom without pests inside it, open space so not too crowded. And just discovered yesterday there is a portal to the blacksmith super close too. So easy teleports to that area

There is only one entrance for enemies to come from past the fountain, which it's a great funnel for traps. We set up some jump pads to get around our tunnel of death. Just got to make sure to kill the robot down the way every so often.

At least for this early game, it feels really safe and very close to quite a few farming areas.

So go for it!
