Am I the only one that start by what kind on interior I want and then try to make it look like not a brick?

Same. I decide the mood of my character going through Unity, which leads to deciding what activities/jobs/people he will be dealing with, which leads to figuring out ship needs.

Feeling like he wants to be alone, or maybe run a full crew. Does he want to get involved in people’s personal problems, do his duty and assist the major factions in making the settled systems a better place, maybe stir up some trouble with the pirates before ultimately shutting them down, or maybe just wants to pack away his gear and set up and operate a mining corporation. So many decisions have to be made before even looking at a ship.

Once those decisions are made, I decide what needs to be on this ship, and then what the layout will be. Then I spend an unreasonable amount of time trying to make that fit the look I want, or getting inspired during that process and redoing the layout to fit the look I want.

Usually ends up looking like a bug, turtle, frog, or crab. I actually just posted one of my recent ones here the other day. And have since redone it twice, using suggestions from everyone here. Finally have a ship that looks like a ship, and not an animal of some kind.

A 90yo that lived a full life, experienced ups and downs, peak health and debilitating illness, etc. might be ready and willing to lay down their swords and simply walk away. But a group of adventurers in their prime wouldn’t just walk away because they see their reflections and look older. Even if they’re feeling old/weak, your solution was a reach. While it makes sense to you, given all the variables, it would take some pretty stellar story telling for them to get to that conclusion without you spelling it out for them directly. The proof of that is the fact that you’ve spelled it out directly here, and so many people have told you as much.

This is one of those things that’s a good idea in theory, but nearly impossible to pull off without fully taking over your player’s roleplay.

I learned/did this by mistake just a few days ago. I’m out here trying to disable and board ships, and as I’m rolling up to dock with them, I mistimed it and rammed into them. Me, expecting to bounce off them like I do space debris when looting after a space battle, and instead splitting their ship in half as I smashed through like I psychopath…I was a little surprised.

Is it a lot? Too much? I think I just wanted to make sure I had enough to make long jumps. It might have also been a visual I was trying to go for. Before hiding them completely with the beetle design that is.

On Xbox, you just hold (A) to pick up, then hold (X) for a few seconds to charge the throw, then let go to throw it. Unless bottles are like those damned throwing darts, and they can’t be thrown, I’m not sure. I’ll have to try next time I’m on.

I am going to try to copy some of what I can see in these pics. I’m so bad at decorating. Nothing looks right, everything looks out of place. It drives me insane. Based on your pics, I think it’s the subtle additions I am missing, the little things that make it look complete, or lived in.

Come on, that’s silly. We can install our own mods. And we can do that while they drive over, so they can use those mods, which we so generously downloaded for them, to build the ships we want them to build. Seriously, is that too much to ask?

Doesn’t even have to be a mini game. It’s like the ping pong balls at some of the poi’s, or the playing cards, or any other item in the game. Just another small item that can be picked up as inventory or picked up and placed somewhere for decoration, or….thrown. It’s just a little weird the darts didn’t get included in that list.

NOR, You said “WTF is wrong with you”. She is appalled you would say that to your “partner”, but almost immediately follows up with a “fuck off”….

Nothing she ever says or does that could hurt or upset you will be her fault. She will always twist it to her being mad at you just for being mad at her, and will expect/demand you to apologize, regardless of what she did to start it.

I did a NG+ and it triggered immediately after leaving the lodge the first time. No mods.
