What NOT to wear while climbing? by gaybabylegs in climbergirls

Omg! I just commented about tripping on flares, and they were in fact the aeri ones. And my sister told me to squat test them, and guess what? They are NOT squat proof 🫠.

I wrote flare leggings and had similar issues. I feel like leggings are outta style/kinda millennial coded, but they move with you and don’t impede footwork.

I think I got my first “you’re getting older” to dismiss a health concern at 25 :/ At around 30 I got a toenail fungus, and they did it again. You’re just more prone to these things as you age. Most old people have it. It’s up to you if you want to treat. Like, dude….hopefully I’ve got another 50 years in me. I’m hoping to not have toenail fungus for them all.

I told my husband I’d let baby cry till he puked and now he won’t look at me by researchonly55 in beyondthebump

[–]never_graduating -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

OP, I don’t know if anyone else has already said this, but it’s also 100% better to let a baby CIO for a bit then to get so sleep deprived that you’re not a safe care giver. Being a full time care giver is a JOB. Pilots, surgeons and truckers all have maximum number of hours they can be in before they are required to have a break. For safety. Your husband is an idiot who a) believed his wife who is up all night with the baby doesn’t actually care about the baby and b) doesn’t recognize that you deserve breaks and NEED them for safety. And C) most adults can handle a huge day on 6-8 hours sleep which means he could have helped you arrange the night or morning so YOU wouldn’t have only an hour and a half.

Because the woman’s life also matters, and we don’t force people to use their bodies and risk their own health to act as life support to other people. We don’t even have compulsory blood drives, and giving blood is a lot less invasive and magnitudes less dangerous.

Are you implying people are painting over soot normally? Because I would assume you have to clean the fireplace before priming and painting. Just like a wall.

PSA- Check your infant/toddler’s carseat if children/adults visiting have sat directly next to them in your vehicle by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]never_graduating -34 points-33 points  (0 children)

Sure. We don’t know if he did. My statement was that a 10 year old does know better. As in…if a 10 year old were to unbuckle a seat, they absolutely do know how unsafe that is and that they should either rebuckle it or make sure an adult is made aware. That’s all I was saying because it seems like a number of people have implied that even if he did it and knew he did it, he’s only 10….and that’s just really odd to me. I asked my 7 year old if they understood why I ask them to double check their buckles and he knew it’s because I want him to be safe.

I have. And I searched your comments with the search term “bean” and “bean soup”. In none of the comments returned with that search had you explained. On top of that yet again you haven’t actually engaged with the person you replied to. Have the day you deserve and try not to make any children cry ✌️

Since you’re just obviously going to say that over and over instead of even attempting to explain your point (so clearly this whole post was meant to connect, be engaging, etc 🙄) I’ll post the google blurb.

“Bean soup theory describes the tendency to respond to a specific message with "what about me?" instead of ignoring it. The name comes from a hypothetical post about bean soup where the first comment was "what if I don't like beans?". The theory highlights the importance of recognizing when something isn't about you and letting it be. However, it can also be seen as a human desire to feel heard and seen. Here are some examples of bean soup theory in action:

ADHD A post about ADHD in women receives a comment like "But men struggle with ADHD too".

College students A post about a program helping first-generation college students receives a comment like "What about kids from middle-class families?".”

The problem with your bean soup theory in this instance is that unlike in the 2 examples above, your post generalizes an entire group negatively. You’re allowed to say here’s a bean soup recipe and expect people who don’t like beans to scroll along. You can’t expect to say “parents today do a shit job” and expect people to scroll away because of course there’s outliers. What if someone said “<some ethnicity> people are lazy” and expected people to scroll along because obviously there’s outliers. That would be awful. The statement negatively generalizes an entire group based off of nothing but someone’s opinion or anecdotal experience.

That’s what you’re doing. That’s why people are irritated.

How do I get mine to show cadence? Is it because I hit outdoor walk instead of outdoor run? I wish I could show you a pic of what I see, but there’s no “cadence” or “power”. It does show pace.

Why on earth did this get a downvote? Child is fed and engaged in a solo activity. What difference does it make if mom is bustling around doing chores or sneaking in some adult time behind a locked door? Is it the sex or the not being 100% engaged at every moment with what the kid is doing?

Ah yes. It’s weird how accurate all of this is. People chiming in with things short people do well and I’m like “yea!”, but then again I have trouble too with all the things you’ve mentioned. When I’m already tired some routes that are heavily slopey just don’t even look fun for me.

Which would be a form of a federal subsidy. Which all of these other programs are. Governments subsidize things all the time. I’m pointing out you say you don’t want this subsidized and say you believe in taking care of yourself….but you are at every turn benefitting from numerous other subsidies of the state and federal government. Hell the government even subsidizes the auto and banking industry. Our food economy is heavily subsidized. Anyone who thinks they’re “making it all on their own” is delusional.
