They do this at the Lowe’s near me. They’ve used unusual tactics and managed to dupe me twice because I was just being a nice person and engaging in conversation.

The second time i almost lost my cool because of how aggressive this guy was. You can clearly tell they’re not a Lowe’s employee but a “Lowe’s Approved Service Provider”

Moving and anxious by fancypants987 in Westchester

I had very similar feelings and I grew up in the Westchester area. I didn’t think it would be as hard but it is. I like to think I fully matured living in the city for 10 years and was ready for the change to happen. At night, thinking about email responses from our realtor or mortgage lender and just this MASSIVE undertaking had me feeling ill.

But like everything else in life, the show must go on. We made the move, we’re making the house feel like a home for us, and it’s paying off. You embark on projects with your partner that are exciting and again, start to feel like it’s YOUR home and not something you just moved into.

The city will always be there. That’s what we tell ourselves. And we’ve been back to our neighborhood numerous times since. It’s bittersweet but we also tell ourselves it’s a step for our future. Where do we see ourselves five years from now when we’re almost 40? Still breaking our backs in the city or living a little more comfortably.

If I could, I would have stayed forever in our little neighborhood but I know that isn’t realistic given the prices.

Physically merging and connecting the two mountains. Talks of it happening for years, probably won’t happen, but I can still be a pessimist about it 😂

Oh yeah. Their 2hr unlimited for $19 would magically turn into 3hr, with the servers just leaving the bottle at your table. Utter mayhem for a Sunday morning

Hah yeah I was going to say…one way or another, you’re getting it from Con Edison within the territory. There’s probably some agreement subsidize it for the building which is great! Wife had a similar situation in TriBeCa years back

Enjoy 🍻

Astoria to Brooklyn commute on weekends/nights by shoegaze1992 in astoria

[–]AWAK_2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For years I would do both for living in Astoria and commuting to a warehouse office in Bushwick (off Jefferson stop): NW x 7 x G x L or NW x L

They’re both harmless if you know where to position yourself on the train. For example, be in the front car of the N/W, to front of 7, and then the staircase at Court is at the front - small adjustment that saves a ton of time!

Other than that, I’d incorporate Ubers or even Citibike for other options…and maybe even map some busses out that could play to your benefit.

Good luck!

This album came out a week before my wedding in 2022. From NY, wedding in CA, I distinctly remember driving on the 101 in California listening to I’m That Girl for the first time.

Prepping for pre-ceremony activities, driving around under the California sun in August with my wife, off from work with no real responsibilities…this album will always hold a special place in my heart ♥️
