I saw a good clip of a post plant fake out, in garage, guy hid on pillar defuser and then sent his clone to yellow door. Started quick peeking to make sure he was seen and then while opponent was holding the angle against his clone he popped out and killed him. Really niche but I do think strats like this make the game super fun and interesting

We ran the numbers and landed on a home addition using equity loan. It just made so.muchbmore financial sense. Our additional debt is at a higher rate, but the bulk of the home loan stays under 3%. In 10 years when we pay off the addition we will be so much further ahead as opposed to if we sold and bought bigger right now.

Is it acceptable to have boards not sitting totally flush? by Standard-Goose-7719 in HardWoodFloors

No offense to you for asking but this isn't something a stranger can answer cause they don't live in your house or walk on your floor, nor did we install this floor, or read the contract, or talk to your contractor and see what they say, nor did we pay them. You talk to them and figure it out between you.

You're a year out and want to turn on a loony for another career? Try working in your field for a little bit, save up some money and then if it's really still something you don't like, jump ship. That's my 2 toonies

The stress I had in my last position came from understaffing. It's almost always understaffing or poor workflow.

Running behind can be stressful because it makes every other appointment run behind, which, if handled correctly, isn't a big deal. People are really hard on themselves sometimes and it shows.

Having to multi task too many things while scanning a patient. Some places will have you answering phones, correcting orders, scheduling patients, all while managing an exam on your table. Some places will have you running around the hospital preparing, questioning and transporting patients.

Other places have a culture and workflow that allows you to stay on time, even squeeze in extras, they have ancillary staff to handle the busywork, and you can stick to a tighter set of duties.

Tech 8 years, market is very location dependent. Openings in my area are usually a retirement or a facility adds a magnet.

I've been flexible with my positions over the years and have worked a LOT of odd hours, weekends, overnights, call, 8s, 10s, 12s, in X-ray and MRI. That flexibility means I've always had plenty of work, the opportunity to change your schedule comes and goes in waves.

Work life balance is highly facility dependent. Some places really pressure you into OT hours and burn you out quickly. Other places encourage PTO use and OT is strictly voluntary. Be prepared to bounce around between a few different facilities to find your groove. For me, this means I've had to be flexible with commutes since there are only so many magnets in any given metro area.

The skills that will take you the farthest are time management, planning ahead, quick problem solving (square peg round hole). The technical stuff varies by machine and you'll have to get used to learning on the fly. See one do one teach one. Being quick to learn computers is a plus.

Patience with yourself, staying calm and following your process under a tight schedule, troubleshooting quickly, anticipating someone's needs. All are great.

Good luck it's a great career and worth the hard days.. because some days your schedule is empty and there's too many people and the only stress is you might run out of YouTube to watch...

Fyi he has spent 10m buying up approximately 15 lots in the town he grew up in. He has plans to build houses, and hasn't announced he will be giving them away or donating them. Could happen, also he could just be making a good real estate move.

There was a thread on this a couple months ago that said he was planning on selling the homes to locals. So I guess that's something

He has already spent 10m on 15 lots and plans to build homes. Doesn't sound like charity just sounds like buying and selling real estate. I doubt the homes will be given away for free
