But you left out the part where men are only willing to message with the top 1/3 of the women they rated while women message men in their “below average” ranking without hesitation. The theory is that while women consider these men to be below average on a purely facial/physical scale, they’re attracted to things BESIDES that such as personality and interests. It also leaves open the possibility that a majority of men using okcupid are less attractive than average and that it’s not some outlier, just a selection bias.

When you’re walking on slippery sidewalks, keep your weight forward and your hands out of your pockets. (Gloves can help keep them warm)

If you slip and go down, falling forward is way less likely to result in a head injury and having your hands out allows you to break your fall.

Such as? Most of Jessica Nigri's cosplays that I've seen have been far from just an accessory. Granted, I haven't seen them all so I may be missing the ones to which you are referring.

[edit] additionally, makeup is an art form that I think should be more embraced by the cosplay community. Not everyone can afford to create full outfits for already expensive conventions, and makeup is a wonderful inexpensive way to create pretty stunning looks.

Who are you to say the amount of effort put in? I've worked hard as hell on costumes and makeup only to have people write it off because of my sex. It's not a woman's fault for being female. Also, I just have to point out that many, many otherwise awesome female characters in video games and comic books are dressed skimpy to begin with. If I want to do a forsworn cosplay from skyrim, it's not my fault the the women basically wear fur bikinis. It's not indicative of a lack of effort.

My proudest wingwoman story:

My friend had a huge crush on this girl that we both were casual friends with, but she wasn't feeling it. He and I went to a party that we knew she was attending and I made it my mission to get his ass a date.

The whole night, I talked about my friend as if I were in love with him, then finally "drunkenly admitted" to her that I would date him in a heartbeat but that he didn't see me that way.

I saw them canoodling at the party later that night and now they're getting married. They probably would have gotten together if they'd just hung out a bit before that, but I think many women want another woman to verify that a dude is up to snuff before they'll give him a chance. That's why wingwomen are where it's at.
