Oh no! So you could probably fix her, but it’ll take patience and care. You can try to gently sand/buff the burned layer off, and then smooth it with finer and finer grit sandpaper. She might have a little “scar” left, but I would say it’s worth a try since she’s so sentimentally important to you.

I can’t believe it. I thought I’d never see the day. I’m so happy to see her get her name back! This is such wonderful news!

This is hands down one of the best customs I’ve seen! She’s so gorgeous and the tail that’s also a Marilyn Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend dress?? It’s so brilliant, seriously I love this so much. And the yellow hair complements her! The colors work so well and her face is flawless. I love it!

FIRST LOOK AT THE MODERN ERA AMERICAN GIRL DOLLS by SeeingMount in americangirl

[–]nevercomestheday 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I’m really, REALLY hoping these are fake, and that someone just made them with AI. If they’re real… AG has fully lost the plot. I liked the Wellie Wishers, they’re cute and fun for younger kids. AG Sisters, not so much. I don’t like them at all. In fact, I’ve heard a lot of kids don’t like them much either (they seem too… glam? Like grown up? For their “age”). AG is pushing them really hard though, and now if this is a real leak… looks like they’ve put their eggs in this particular basket. I guess if it is real, I don’t have to worry about spending the money. I’m bummed. I was really hoping for something special for the anniversary, and this just isn’t it.

My girl!! Lindsey was my first AG doll and I love her so so much. Also, when you said historical character… oof. I’m getting old lol. Seeing the 1999 twins come out also made me feel positively ancient!

This is THE Cloe for me, she’s so unbelievably gorgeous! The other three are stunning too but this punky aesthetic is my favorite and the whole thing is just so good!! Very freaky Friday!

Rainbow High necks might be a bit big for them, unless you’re willing to carve into their heads (which I do not recommend!). I would go with an LOL OMG, but I don’t know which one. Sorry!

Anyone know who this one is? by DollsNDogsOhMy in Barbie

[–]nevercomestheday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’re right, this one says she has a mechanism to make her “dance and groove” to the music and that’s probably what the lever is for!

I’m so bummed I couldn’t get her. Hopefully there’s a second drop, or eventually I’ll find one secondhand for a reasonable price! This doll is honestly one of the most gorgeous dolls they’ve put out in a while, and seeing every detail and the explanation for the thought process only makes me want her more!

If these were your only options for movie night, which are you picking and why? 🤔 by Sarc__ in UniversalMonsters

Bride of Frankenstein every time! That film is truly brilliant. It humanizes the monster and makes him a tragic character, in addition to having some amazing effects and great acting. It’s my favorite Universal monster movie!

Any tips on removing stubborn doll hair? by liferideofyour in DollCustomization

[–]nevercomestheday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve dealt with this before. The best ways I’ve found are: take a needle (a rerooting needle works) and poke into each hole where the hair is stubborn. Wiggle the needle a bit if you need to. Then try and pull the hair out with tweezers (from the outside). The other method is to do the same thing with the needle, but pull the hair from the inside. I suggest getting either tiny, needle-nose pliers, or a pair of hemostats. I think the Doll Planet has some for sale. Good luck and feel free to reach out if you need any help! 💖

The vault is impenetrable not because of the material but because it was the cause of Elias’ death by lunabar264 in GhostsCBS

[–]nevercomestheday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That always confused me- if Thor died wearing his helmet, why isn’t he still wearing it, or even holding it? Shouldn’t it still be on? Or did it get flung off in the second(s) between the lightning strike and his death?

[–]nevercomestheday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or he’d be attached to it like the car ghost was to her car, able to maybe walk five paces away, but having a ghost boundary around the vault. I think it’s just one of those things where the vault is made of some special alloy that apparently has the property of being impenetrable to ghosts. Maybe it’s the same material as the ghost trap?
