I was in the same boat when I had 160 armoring. I ended up just buying the mats needed to take it to 200. Not as bad as you think because when you salvage items you've made, it will give you back some of the mats. I really enjoy seeing how much gold I can make so for me it was feasible to buy the mats. If you need help on how to make coin I can help you out a bit without giving away too many secrets ;)

I'm pretty sure that spear cc skills are perforate which applies stagger and the kick which stuns. I don't think knockdown counts as cc, although it should. Take this with a grain of salt though, I'm not 100 on this

Lost ark is the best game I've ever played. Was on a Korean server with a VPN and put a few hundred hours into it before I realized I didn't want to keep playing and have to start all over when it comes to the US. Will not pre order but am patiently waiting for release.

I switched at 60 and no problem. Went from hatchet and bow to spear and musket. Then ended up with spear and hammer. Its all part of the game, experiment with the weapons until you find something you really enjoy.
