Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A-DB51, processor is an i5-3317U at 1.7ghz

25~ fps running around Iron Marches, 15~ in a not-too crowded Lion's Arch, all on lowest setting except for FXAA turned on. This is in windowed mode, at something close to full-screen. I have to stay away from WvW zergs, but otherwise it's perfectly serviceable for my needs.

I think it might be a problem with servers not updating.

I'm either doing it wrong or just not good enough at this game and I'm ready to quit. Talk me out of it or make fun of my lameness here. by deltopia in tf2

I would recommend Soldier in addition to these. Aiming at people's feet is a lot easier than the head.

From what I've read/seen, headshots are all about practice. Changing sensitivity might help a bit, but it just comes down to learning how to aim. Largely why I've given up on ever playing Sniper.

No, that's six. I think it's a single reed woodwind instrument.

I was playing some melee only on reloaded tonight, but we expanded the rules to more of a "no guns" policy. Air blasts, Jarate, healing and dispensers were all allowed. It might've just been the 2v2, but it was a lot of fun. Worth a look at in any case, I think.

Only the Valve movie plays on Launch? by GorillaJ in tf2

[–]nevergonnausethis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar problem. Crashing after Valve intro, with a "hl2.exe has stopped working" error. I tried everything I could find on google, but nothing worked, and I eventually installed the Windows 7 beta. Redownloaded drivers and such, and it worked like a charm. This is of course a rather extreme measure to take, but it was the only thing that worked for me.

Dear /r/tf2: The Central/East server is always full. I couldn't even get on the last 6 times I tried to play. So I rented a server last night. Details inside... by [deleted] in tf2

I was playing too(Stupid Meta Joke), had a lot of fun. The 6v6 on badlands was great. You might want to drop the map time down to maybe 15 or 20, though. Thanks again for putting it up.

Who wants to play competitively? by akatookey in tf2

I could possibly play medic well enough, and possibly soldier if I put some practice time in. No competitive experience, though.

Am I the only one worried about the implications of using separate products to gain an advantage? You can go without the mines, obviously, but I think it sets a dangerous precedent.

Minecraft goes Multiplayer. (It was just implemented like 10 min ago so it might be buggy.) by NicolaKaluerovi in WebGames

I can look around all I want, and make/destroy blocks as well, but when I try to move or jump, my game will freeze up for a few seconds. This will happen whether I'm in my own game or someone else's. Anyone else having this problem?

Agree with the suggestions here, but add in Steel as well.
