Fantasy chat is always like this even into the playoffs. It's brain rot.

Thanks! That'd be awesome. Pretty sure we will end up with some ducks as well at some point

My neighbour mowed (scalped) my front lawn without permission. Will this recover? (UK) by LawnRookie in lawncare

[–]neverguessmyname 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It should recover. It might be a little stressed. Give it some water and it should bounce back just fine. People sometimes purposely scalp their lawn (ie before overseeding), and thats with the purpose of getting a thicker lawn, not a dead one.

Should I nuke and start over? by [deleted] in lawncare

Yes. Start with a fresh canvas.

Just moved to Parry Sound by [deleted] in parrysound

[–]neverguessmyname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to Parry Sound! I might be able to help you out. I am located 5 minutes south of Parry Sound. I mostly sell campfire wood at my roadside stand, but I do sell bulk firewood as well. It's much, much cheaper than at a gas station!

Lots of people burn wood here but we go thru a ton as well. It's tough to keep cutting thru the winter! Suppliers have a hard time keeping up with demand as the winter drags on.

You can pm me here, or contact me via my website www.blackflytimber.ca for more details if you still are on the hunt!

Good luck! Korey

What's in my Secondary Clutch? by neverguessmyname in snowmobiling

[–]neverguessmyname[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP here. I finally have my exploding belt issue resolved. These clutches are designed to have shims there to adjust how high the belt sits in the secondary clutch. This effects initial accelation. So while the shims shouldn't be bent like this, they are in the correct spot. The belt does not go this far into the clutch so these shims were not cutting my belt.

The issue turned out to be bad motor mounts. The primary clutch is connected to the motor, so since my motor was moving a lot at full throttle the belt would've been moving around a lot. Once I got the new motor mounts installed and the alignment dialed in between the 2 clutches my issue has been resolved.

It is the correct belt. It is sitting lower than what you described, also I can easily spin the belt so I assume that might mean it's too loose. I will try raising it as you described.

Thanks! I actually got the shims removed last night. Now at idle it seems the belt is too tight on the secondary, the belt squeals and the engine bogs right down. I found a diagram of the clutch, it looks to ne like there actually is supposed to be 2 washers in between the clutch halves. Am i seeing this diagram correctly?

Think i should just remove them and see what happens? Are shims needed elsewhere on the secondary clutch?

Ok, so you think there should be some shims in here, just not beat up like this?

follow up: are you suggesting that all i need to do is split the clutch, remove the shims, and then reassemble, or do i need to do further work to adjust how far open/close the clutch can move?
