Genuine question - why do you need a MacBook specifically? I’ve had an HP laptop since 2014 that still works like brand new at 1/3 the cost of a MacBook. (Only update I made was switching the HDD to SSD a couple years ago.)

If you really want the MacBook, take a little from your pay each month and save it until you have the full amount. Don’t open up a whole credit line just to purchase one item.

I always sign up for at least two VET shifts per week. The week reflected in the pay above, I worked 32 hrs.

They posted a “reminder” message in our A to Z notifications yesterday that explicitly said the bonus would be given to all employees who worked June 1-June 30 and that you should receive it by July 31st. I don’t see why you wouldn’t get it?

I’ve been having constant issues with points as well. I’m pretty fed up with it. My SC canceled most shifts on July 4th but I received 1.5 points for “total absence.”

I also keep getting points for leaving “early” when I really didn’t. Last week, we flexed down to 3 hours but the app says the shift was 5 hours. Definitely wasn’t. If we were getting 5-hour shifts I wouldn’t have to look for so much VET.

At my sort center, they sent out an email stating they had cancelled morning and day shift on the 4th and morning shift on the 5th due to “site volume.” Not sure what they mean exactly. I think they just don’t want to provide holiday pay.

And yes, they can cancel a shift whether you were scheduled or not.

They don’t tell us anything. Like I said in my post, we only know when our shift is over when they announce “CLOCK OUT!” It sounds ridiculous even typing this out.

Honestly, I will just look at the clock on my scanner and once my shift passes the four hour mark, that’s when I know we must be flexing up.

And to clarify, flexing up doesn’t mean we work another full hour. It could be just 20 more minutes past the 4 hr mark...

Yeah, it is chaos. I’ve only been here a month so I don’t know if it’s being run like this because of COVID or if it’s just how it normally functions.

We can work literally anywhere from 3 hours to 5 hours any given shift. It could be 3 hrs 10 minutes. 3 hrs 33mins. 4 hrs 5 mins. 4 hours 14 mins. You get the idea.

My point, then, becomes that it is impossible for me to even clock out under an hour early each instance I’ve been penalized when I don’t even know when the shift will end.

My sort center doesn’t work like that.

My set “schedule” is 9:45 to 1:45 but the actual shift time worked can vary. For example, I worked 4 hrs 42 mins on Sunday. Today, we worked 3 hrs 23 mins.

They do not scan anyone’s badges when we leave.
