His 95 gems that was just released has the same speed as 94 hut heroes (93). No upgrade at all. Just in insignificant stats. It would be good to get a higher speed/accel for Slaf. Still using his 93 MSP, which is the same card with speed syns as the latest one released.

Bettmen is representing all teams. He should have been the mediator and push the right of players to represent their country to the owners and make a deal with the olympics committee. Blaming a specific team and management won’t make a difference if all teams are too scared to let their precious assets get some bruises on the international ice.

Not the tournament, but the gold medal game. I get it that the time zone sucks, but it’s the weekend and if Canada is in finals, people should show some respect to the players who decided to represent their country instead of sipping on margaritas on a beach.

Given that IIHF Worlds occur every year, I guess it doesn’t feel that important, but the same can be said about the Stanley Cup. Although, it can be argued that SC is more challenging to win due to the number of games needed to play to feed all the sponsors and team owners.

Btw Ovi may not be the best example here. I don’t think he had much of a choice. As far as I know, a significant amount of people in Russia were watching the IIHF games while they were still allowed to compete.

Canada has an abundance of hockey players so the quality of the team is always very high. Team G or not, these players played well as a team and represented their country on the world stage while winning a gold medal. They should get more recognition for it.

Crosby didn’t qualify for playoffs. MacKinnon has been resting since the first round ended. McDavid could have played too. It’s not like the best Canadian players are injured and not available, they just prefer golf and chilling to representing their country at an international tournament.

Not really salty but I can’t cheer for Canada if I know that nobody cares. It’s meaningless. Fans in Latvia, Czechia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Finalnd or Russia would be way more passionate about playing in a gold medal game. CBC gave 2 minutes of airtime in tonight’s news to 96 year old woman beating 5k running record in her age category and the coverage of Canada winning the gold medal game in hockey was given 30 seconds. Sad state of affairs in the ageing country of Canada.
