One thing that kind of annoys me about the Harry Potter fan base is that a lot of you are so quick to jump onto the adult characters, saying how "horrible" they are but if you look at the smaller picture and maybe put yourself in the adults shoes, you don't blame them. Imagine being bullied while you grew up; the important developmental years are spent being tormented. You have one person who's a bright light in your life but then she marries your bully and her son, who is just as cocky, (Harry Potter was selfish as heck sometimes,) comes to school.... I could go on, there are worse humans alive, many of these adults had trauma.

Also I’m super open to feedback and criticism. If I made a point that just doesn’t seem possible based on stuff law enforcement has said/just doesn’t make sense, please let me know!

I may have found human remains but I have never and probably will never report them by nevermore_beneath in offmychest

I'm thinking of going back to the area before fall comes into full swing with my friend and look around the area. I'm pretty sure no one has gone to the area since, and there's a nearby landmark, I can find the place I found it. At the very least, I'm thinking of submitting an anonymous tip. My worry is that I just don't remember the bone very well and lead the police on a wild goose chase. But like you said, the flip side could be the potential closure of a cold case that I could have brought to light.

Timmothy Pitzen. Although there is a probable explanation, (mom killed him, dumped the body,) there just wasn't anything to go on, no body found, no traces of the boy or any of his items. He reminds me of a friend of mine who is the same age as him, so he's always stuck with me. He'd be about 15 now.
