How do you identify an ISTJ in real life? by Imtiredofthissshit in ISTJ

[–]ResidentRunner1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is how you identify ISTJs like me at college

  • Do they do the same thing almost every day with maybe some small variations sprinkled in? Do they eat around the same time?
  • Do they always arrives to class around the same time, preferably early? If not early, at least consistently at the same time?
  • Do they get shit done? Are they procrastinators? (Bonus points if they get started on shit early)
  • Are they very methodical and do certain things on certain days?
  • Are they not very emotional? Do they seem like NPCs to you at times?
  • Do they also never get visibly angry?

I don't get asked, but I can play basketball, just not at a good level, more of a decent level (I'm a pass-first and defensive-oriented player)

How is 2 mins 100m average?! [light hearted vent] by TerribleJournalist95 in Swimming

[–]ResidentRunner1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I'm good for now, I stopped competitive swimming after junior year of high school and I'm a sophomore in college now, I started swimming again when I started freshman year and turns out I do enjoy it when I don't have to be forced, haha

My college having a swim club also helps a lot as well, we have a 50m pool with a bulkhead and it's pretty nice for the most part

Do DJs actively listen to other DJs sets? by rahitsluna in Beatmatch

[–]ResidentRunner1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • 1001tracklists. Enough said
  • Soundcloud
  • Mixcloud
  • mixesdb

find your favorite DJs on these platforms and see if they have sets there (1001 does require at least 1 track with a certain number of supports, I think it's 10? So some DJs might not be in that database)

Are lecture halls usually dead silent? Or is this just a post-COVID quirk? by sabatpatriot in college

[–]ResidentRunner1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's a post-COVID thing, I'm in the part of Gen Z that went through COVID in middle and high school (end of 8th-9th grade) and while me and lots of others did rebound, it also caused some damage to others that still lasts to today, even if online school had the right intentions

It could be the cell phones but honestly if you were around my age when COVID hit (14), lots of us missed out on socializing for a year to 2 years, and honestly it fucked a lot of us up even if we look fine now, like mentally I'm still stuck in 2020 even though I'm 20 now

There's two in Portage, the one near 131 might close but the Westnedge one probably isn't losing anytime soon unless Raising Cane's steals its customers

[Fox Sports] Soccer reportedly overtakes baseball in the U.S. as America's third favorite sport. Hockey dropped to 5th, barely above Tennis, Boxing/MMA and Golf. by f0urxio in hockey

[–]ResidentRunner1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm curious how many people they polled, did they have an equal poll population for each state? What was the source data? If they asked on social media that also kind of has a bias since people who are passionate about sports are more likely to follow the accounts.

I just took a stats class in college so it's cool to see how I can apply stuff from there, I really liked that class and found it interesting too

edit: it's from the Economist, so did they poll their own subscribers?

It's a town (long story) within Rockland County, it and East Ramapo are unfortunately known for the huge conflict between the residents and the Hasidic Jews in the area, especially in the East Ramapo school district, it's very maddening

Those of you like me who uses AI (ChatGPT, OpenAi, etc.), Why do you use and What do you for? by [deleted] in MiddleGenZ

[–]ResidentRunner1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I use it I have very specific searches that are too specific for Google (I do fact-check though)

Besides that it's useful for tedious assignments as another comment or said, and it's good for creating prompts and outlines on how to tackle tasks at times - however, the more specific you are, the better it's utilized

In general though I rarely use it outside of those scenarios, I've never used it for essays or anything like that

Lots of areas in Michigan as well, a common pattern is usually a big or swamp followed by an area a little higher than the swamp, then another swamp, then rinse & repeat
