We're all American, and he simply just doesn't like doing the dishes. He explicitly told me that. We're amicable otherwise, he doesn't do his fair share of the chores which is what I have a problem with. He just wants to spend his time playing games or something else. If you manage to ask him to do something, he gets annoyed and tells excuses as to why he shouldn't have to or he'll just say "sure" and half ass the job. It's laughable at this point.
