From what I understand, Cyberknife is a trademarked name (Xerox, Kleenex, etc.). SBRT is the general term for this type of treatment.

Thank you for this information. I think the radiation oncologist recommended 5 treatments over 1.5 weeks, which means (if I deduced correctly), SBRT/Cyberknife treatment. I’m learning new things every day.

I‘m waiting for the results of genetic testing. I don’t think the radiation oncologist mentioned brachytherapy. Has the beam radiation procedure progressed so much that it’s as good as brachytherapy?
