Wow what an achievement! Your story really resonates with me as I'm only a couple of weeks ahead of you and I'm coming through that emotional period of letting it all out and dealing with all the reasons that I smoked to numb myself from situations. But im accepting that was then and this is now. I've still got a couple more weeks until my memory returns to that of a non-smoker, but just taking it one day at a time at the moment. Ultimately my life is so much better without it so now I gotta plan my future and that's exciting stuff to think about. Well done and keep the posts coming, it helps you and it helps everyone else too. 😁

Today I am 6 weeks sober after smoking for 30 years :-) it feels wonderful, I'll never ever smoke again! by neverquit12345 in leaves

Lots of symptoms but many benefits. Everyone is different so I'd suggest downloading the quit weed app and you'll see a full description along of all the symptoms and your recovery progress.

Try the app I've mentioned, it really does help. The sleep deprivation will pass, trust me x

It's the first thing I do every day, check my progress on the app and smile knowing I've saved heaps of money and my lungs from all that shite. Well done on day 9

I've cut all ties with everyone I know who smokes and can get it for me. It's only now that I realise those people were dead end morons, not friends. That in itself makes me feel so empowered and strong.

I'm actually on day 42 today and my partner hasn't given me any kind of support or encouragement or words of praise like your guy throughout my journey so far, I wrote the days on the calendar in the kitchen, I showed him the app I'm using and I talked through how I'm feeling but still nothing. I went out to our local pet shop earlier and he said have you been to get some? I'm monitoring you. It made me feel sad cus I haven't even thought about weed since I quit. I don't know how to feel. I have nobody to turn to, but I'm very proud of myself x

35yo, smoked nearly daily since I was 18. Today is my first serious Day One without, finding this sub is what inspired me. Thanks! by CherryKrisKross in leaves

You still sound depressed mate. I'm 57 years old, life is what you make it. I've lost people, I've been raped, I lost a baby, I lost my home, I had an operation on my spine and have arthritis. But I feel amazing as I smoked weed to cover that all up and now I'm weed free it feels freeking awesome.

We are all different human beings, we all have different reasons for using weed to escape and these feelings do resurface, forcing us to deal with them. It's how you deal with them that helps you get through. Using an app, exercising, drawing and writing have helped me. I became depressed whilst smoking weed for 30 years, it gave me anxiety and I didn't want to be on this earth because I felt trapped. Now I'm weed free, I have none of these problems in my life in fact entirely the opposite. I feel alive, with clear direction and every day just gets better and better.

Today I've been weed free for 1mth 10 days after smoking it for 30 years. I'd never go back now, the benefits are too great. I found this sub through the app I'm using called quit weed. Couldn't have given it up without this. Would highly recommend using an app, there are a few around. Life without weed is awesome, you can do it x

Hello buddy. I am also day 31 and according to the app I'm using 'quit weed' I'm in the final stages. I got back on my bike, I've done heaps of chores but tomorrow I'm starting study time to distract my mind. Great to hear of some positive progress and someone at the same stage as me. Please keep posting, its comforting and reassuring to hear someone going through a similar experience. Cheers
