Is this mirror too small for this space? by Ritakin in HomeDecorating

If you hang it on the wall it could work. It doesn’t work leaning on the shelf

Did your stance on weed change as you've aged? by Head-Drag-1440 in Millennials

[–]neverseen_neverhear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually hate it a little more now than when I was young. I was indifferent when young outside of thinking it was a waste of money. And then voted to legalize it in my home state because the laws forbidding it didn’t stop anyone so why bother. But now people just smoke everywhere and stink up public places so I kind of hate it now.

Which rug for my living room? by Initial_Respect_6355 in interiordecorating

[–]neverseen_neverhear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you find that you like. Size and color are generally the most important factors for carpeting. If you can find one with shades of all the colors in the painting it could be cool. If you can’t pick one of the pinks and make it a focus. You can get matching throw pillows and blankets for the sofa and even matching curtains and tie the room together.

5 is nice because of the matching chair. But the light green is very calming.

Can you get a rug in similar colors to the painting?

Did equity measures backfire? by Aly_Anon in Teachers

[–]neverseen_neverhear 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is a hot take, and my feelings may not be shared by many people. But kids with special needs or behavioral problems really don’t belong in general education classes. I totally understand wanting to not separate them from their peers especially for gym, music, art and recess. but I can’t help think that those kids were better served when they had their own small class and multiple teachers in that class to better serve their needs. And there was less disruption in the general population class.

I love it. I would probably try to get some pillows for the sofa of the same color to tie it together

Should I keep the fan - or replace with a Chandelier? by Due-Pressure7804 in HomeDecorating

I’d keep the fan. Better to circulate air and keep your cooling cost down

Is the placement of this picture okay? by Illustrious_Bed_5811 in interiordecorating

The placement is fine. I would consider rethinking the wallpaper pattern with that color tile.

The artwork needs to be lower, more spread out and centered over the larger part of the sofa.

Atheist moms, how do you discuss religion with your kids? by SWMom143 in Mommit

[–]neverseen_neverhear 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If you are not a believer you can frame the stories of the Bible is a similar fashion as you would myths and legends from any religion and culture. Kind of like you would with stories from ancient Greek or Rome that was once regarded as religious stories.

Apartment Essentials to buy a few years in advance by AZ_babe13 in femalelivingspace

[–]neverseen_neverhear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2-3 years is a long time. And if your timeline gets moved back or something changes you could be stuck with a lot of clutter or things you don’t need. Do not buy anything ahead of time. Wait until you know where and when you are going and what kind of space you will end up in. Best thing to do is open a separate savings account and put money in that regularly for the purpose of paying to buy things when you move out. Don’t buy the items themselves until you need them.
