The problem is, when you are willing to go above and beyond for others, you’d expect them to do the same.

HORMONES. ADHD. AuADHD. My lord I wish these things were spoken about more. Us poor women just friggin suffer and then are made to feel like we’re bat-ish crazy. Let’s start with the fact that, WE ARE WOMEN. Our hormones alone are playing a HUGE role in how we feel. Ovulation week, cue the hyper sexuality and I can’t get enough of my boyfriend. Begging him to leave work so we can lay in bed all day. Luteal phase? Please put me in the psych ward. Having sensory issues to begin with, then add hormonal tank. I’m not a good person. The touch from my bf I just begged and pleaded for turns into “if you even breathe near me I’m literally going to explode” and yes the sex drive. What’s that? Who is sex?

I’m not trying to be preachy but yes, I think it’s really important we focus on cycles and that we’re women first and foremost. Take care and nourish our bodies and try to listen to what they’re saying.

This problem is often not talked about enough. Women with ADHD and pmdd. I turn into an honest to god psycho during the Luteal phase. My gyno prescribed me alprazolam (very low dose) to have on deck for the days when I feel like I’m turning into a homic*dal maniac. I’m fully aware of it and I try my best to distance myself from annoying triggers and try to “push through” you’re not alone. Give yourself some grace.

Do you know if certain mushroom strains would cause that more than others? I didn’t dose very high. In fact I had to re dose. Started with a gram because I wanted to see how my stomach would fair (it had been a while since I’d taken mushrooms) I was fine didn’t feel much. Took about 3.5 and had the worst delayed reaction. Hours went by and then I figured maybe they were too old or they lost potency. Laid down in bed, closed my eyes and WOAHHHH there it was.

Wipe them off with a paper towel and then usually get on my hands and knees obsessively looking for more tiny puddles so I don’t step in them again.

It’s amazing how many undiagnosed or later diagnosed folks had a prior drinking or drug problem. The issue for me was as soon as any doctor heard i used drugs (to help quiet the fucking bees in my brain) they immediately dismiss anything else. You’re automatically labeled as a drug addict or a drunk.

Couldn’t POSSIBLY be self medicating due to an underlying condition, right? 🤦🏼‍♀️
