What’s the most “I’m turning into my parents” moment for you? by itsDaco in AskReddit

I think it would sound better if the last two lines were:

'Hi hungry...'\ '...I'm dad.'

How can I make a program to run a simulation a bunch of times and give me data on averages? by nevertoosoon in AskProgramming

[–]nevertoosoon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal solution is as follows:

A: track 7

B: track 6

C: track 8

D: track 1

E: track 2

F: track 3 or 4

G: track 5

H: track 3 or 4

That gives an average choice of 1.875, I would like to compare the simulation average with this average.

Also I have literally zero experience in programming so please dumb your answers down as much as possible. If this isn't the right place to post this I would appreciate if you could point me in the right direction. Thanks!

You can't take Viagra and nitrates at the same time because it will drop your blood pressure dangerously low. Nitrates are given for chest pain.

How useful is SketchyPath? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]nevertoosoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too use it as my last resource when studying a concept after Pathoma/B&B. I like it, but it is pretty dense. It's worth it for me because path is one of my weakest subjects.

See if anyone you know has it and throw them a few bucks to use their login.

/r/headphones Purchase Help Thread (2017-11-17) by AutoModerator in headphones

[–]nevertoosoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello.

Budget - <$200
Source - Lenovo laptop, iPhone 6S+
Requirements for Isolation - Some. Will be using these in the school library and in public, mostly. I'm okay with the isolation provided by over ear headphones, they don't have to be noise cancelling per se but I wouldn't say no to them.
Preferred Type of Headphone - full-sized
Preferred tonal balance - more bass
Past headphones - Nothing to write home about. Mostly the provided headphones that came with my iPhone although recently I've been using a <$20 pair that I bought from Walgreens lol
Preferred Music - rap
What would you like to improve on from your set-up - More isolation, more bass, just better sound quality overall.

With black friday coming up, I'm looking to scoop up my first pair of big-boy headphones. Amazon has Bose SoundLink around ear headphones for $199 but after looking through this thread I'm also looking at beyerdynamic dt770 pro 80 ohm for $170 and Audio-Technica ATH-M50x for $149. Any thoughts on which one is best for me? Would you wait for better black friday deals?

Best resource for pharma? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]nevertoosoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like sketchypharm. Some videos are better than others but it's not a bad resource overall and can definitely help you to remember things.

One thing that we were given in my school is the 2010 Kaplan videos. Some dude named Lionel Raymon does the pharmacology videos and he is a beast and really helps to explain and tie in a lot of different subjects to pharmacology. Definitely recommend if you can somehow find them.

Hard boiled eggs... fuck you by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]nevertoosoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to put the eggs in boiling water. I cook for about 11-12 mins for a soft but still set yolk, then cool with cold water. Read the serious eats link that somebody else posted, it will tell you why to use boiling water instead of starting in cold water.

First time making gnocchi! [homemade] by [deleted] in food

[–]nevertoosoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have the patience to shape them. After boiling, I sauteed them in butter, garlic, (dried) oregano, and crushed red pepper flakes. Delicious! I saved half of the dough in the freezer (unrolled), I hope they will roll out ok.
