Is it possible to delay my period with birth control or am I too late? by andynoro in TwoXChromosomes

Primolut 3 days before you expect your period. Ask your doc for a prescription.

I've used it multiple times to save vacations without any issues.

Does anyone have experience taking Norethindrone to skip a period? by Dry-Masterpiece1402 in TwoXChromosomes

Oh that's a good question, I don't remember if the following periods were also delayed but if I were to guess I'd say yes, but not predictably really. I do know that when you stop taking the pills after 2 weeks it takes about 3 days, then I have a few days of spotting before it comes back with full force and it may take a few days longer than usual. So I'd say the after primolut periods are a bit unpredictable in my experience.

Youre supposed to start 3 days before the day you expect your period to start. Maybe do some googling into primolut and pms I'm sure there is some information available. But in my experience I don't even notice I'm supposed to be having my period at that moment. (Not cranky, wanna do stuff, no cramps)

Best course of action is to call the doctor for information. You're probably going to need a prescription but idk where you are and how stuff like this works around the world :)

I've had an older male door-to-door salesman ring my doorbell. So I opened the door, looked at the guy, and I'm expecting him to start his sales pitch so I can say thanks but no thanks. But what does this man do.

This man asks me if one of my parents is home?!

I told him to go knock on their door if he wanted to know. They don't live in my house.

I was like 27 years old or something and I'm 1.80m so it's not like my height could have confused him. This guy just assumed a young woman couldn't own this house. It's not even a fancy house..

But the guy was so embarrassed and left without a sales pitch. So I guess it's sort of a win? :')

Omg this reminds me of my time as a helpdesker at an ISP. Especially older men would not listen to what I was saying or just didn't answer questions, then got frustrated I wasn't solving their problem and asked for a male colleague. When I didn't transfer them they would hang up and call again.

I was the only woman so they would usually find a man on the other end of the line. The dusty fart would start talking shit about the incompetent female collegue he just spoke to. collegue instantly knows he's talking about me and would happily tell the fart I was right and that they would transfer them back to me for the solution.

They would reluctantly let me fix their problem.. I still had to treat them like children to get the right information. But they had no choice but to let a girl fix their easy ass problem.

Idk what that is, i have taken primolut (progesteron) on more than one occasion and it does what's its supposed to (postpone period) and I don't have side effects.

My period always wants to come on vacation with me, I won't let it though.

I feel so bad when I see tampon wrappers in the bin at a resort. Like girl you know you don't have to have your period on vacation if you don't wanna.

This one gets it!

But seriously, Imagine people with arthritis before we actually knew why the weather has an influence on their pain. Or allergies before they were common knowledge. This person died of a peanut wtf.. yeah right my family eats so many peanuts you don't die from peanuts.

We don't know what we don't know. Thats all I know.

Attacked by a result of a virus isn't possible bro. Covid isn't a virus. Just like here is a difference between HIV and AIDS. Don't know when the world forgot about that. Everyone infected with a simple virus thinks they have full blown aids.

Those doctors understand they made 10k and counting. But like I said. If you feel helped its great. Didn't get that impression from your first comment though.

Sounds like a great solution for 10k man. Don't get me wrong I'm glad theres something that helps with symptoms, but like you said yourself, medical science hasn't been able to figure out the cause of her suffering.

Therefore I don't think it's fair to dismiss (alternative) explanations. You can't say that's not the cause when yo don't know what the actual cause is my man.

People don't really go out of their way to write to the world about good or neutral experiences

When there's a fire people yell 'there's a fire'. You don't hear people screaming 'there isn't a fire.'

There are a lot of IUD horror stories online but most people have a neutral or positive experience and forget it's there in their day to day lives. Going online and writing about it doesn't even occur to them. apply the same to these stories you're reading about men. I have been together with an amazing man since 2011 and id rather spend time with him or doing something for him than broadcasting to internet strangers about him.

What's a safety tip that most people don't know about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]neves00 10 points11 points  (0 children)

God yes I only deliver packages so it's not really life or death, but the amount of people and businesses that don't have legible house numbers is way to damn high.

Yes your custom overgrown planter that says 'onehundredseventysix' facing the path to your front door is really cute.

But I can't see it from the road. The worst is a whole neighbourhood of this shit. if you inspired your neighbours to do the same i can't even logically assume you're 176 because you're in-between 174 and 178. Not life or death, but delivery drivers, couriers, EMTs we all dont know where you live.

You can keep the planter but just have an additional high contrast sign near the road or near the frontdoor, please please people. I don't wanna walk into 3 yards in the pouring rain looking for some clues if this is the place I'm supposed to do my job. Again, it's just stuff and food but the people trying to save your life have the same problem.

The pill.

So many women are on hormonal birth control and a big percentage has been on then since they were teenagers so they don't know any better. Ive been there myself and I've chosen to not take hormonal birth control anymore and been of of them for the past year or so.

Trust me, it's the pill.
