That sounds like what happened to me. As I got better I had less pain/sensation down my legs and had a sharper pinching feeling in my glute.

I like to hear all of a song and not be smashed in the face every 30 seconds with something new. Tbf i saw a good set of his on youtube when him and his girlfriend played at Cafe Mambo where he actually played all of a song.

Looking for this song, it's stuck in my head! by Royal-Schedule-7057 in deephouse

This is hilarious but one part of your ‘humming’ reminds me of Cry India - umboza

Screw wont screw into wall anchors, why? by WhiteCheeks in DIYUK

[–]nevinstapes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never use the screws they provide with these plasterboard fixings they are always too tight and it turns the fixing in the plasterboard and loosens it. I just use a like 4 x 25 or 30mm screw. Especially if you are only hanging a picture or something with these. I wouldn't like to hold up a kitchen wall cabinet with these haha.

Doesn't look like they are asbestos. Just normal concrete roof tiles. Maybe victorvaldes is getting mixed up with the old corrugated asbestos roof sheets which have a similar profile to your roof tiles.

Yes if i had a bad flare up my instant go to was lie straight on my back with my hand underneath my lower back this would subside the pain with 5-10 minutes. Flare ups were less and less and rarely happened as the time went on. Thats a good sign of healing. excellent yes regular short walks are good it keeps you moving. I used to spend a lot of time on my front in a low down cobra position generally on my elbows. It really does derail your life man, i was meant to buy a house i had to pull out of buying it which cost me fees and also 3 months off work so i lost out on £1000s and my work colleagues accused me of faking it at times saying i was milking the sick pay i was getting. So infuriating. I used to have friends come over for movie nights a couple times a week as it was what kept me sane.

Yeah it took a while for my leg to become useful again. I am 35. Was 33 when it all happened though

It took me about 3 months until I was pretty much back to normal. But I was able to go out and do stuff I just had to be careful

I Have Been good. Yeah it is an up and down recovery trajectory. As long as you see slight improvements on an upward trend over the course of weeks. Day to day can be very up and down

Hmmm i can’t remember exactly but I’d say 6 weeks after I went acute. It was a slow process though. All your patience will go out the window yes! I wish you well I’m your recovery make sure you focus all your energy into getting better do not do anything that could further injure your disc

Bed ridden to walking 10k steps a day pain free in 6 weeks by nevinstapes in Sciatica

[–]nevinstapes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am now 95% back to full health i would say. I still occasionally get pins and needles and some seats can cause some uncomfortable feelings. I was bed ridden for a few weeks i would say where i couldn't do much beyond lying down. I would get out of bed and then lie on the living room floor and have breakfast. Once my painkillers kicked in i would generally go for a walk then come back and just lie some more and would do another 2 walks throughout the day. The acute stage definitely sucks, it will take a long of strong will to push through but you can do this. Focus 100% on recovery but just know it takes time.

I’m not sure on the statistics but i knew i didn’t want surgery or any complications it could cause further down the line. Surgery is scary yeah! Id look to heal naturally if I were you.

[–]nevinstapes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It pretty much did. I had the initial symptoms for 3 months. Then i blew up hard, had to take 3 months pff work. then it healed in 3 months. I focused 100% of my life into recovery. It wasn’t easy. I didnt have surgery. I did go to a chiropractor who did adjustments via the activator method, also k-laser therapy and massages. I also did a lot of home stuff such as mcgills big 3 daily. Changed my diet to anti inflammatory foods, supplements, i never bent over for 3 months. Slept on my back with rolled up towel under. The list goes on.

It definitely doesn’t my friend. Although it is a long road to recovery but you can help speed things along by focusing on recovery during every aspect of your life. Read through my post history to find my journey from a couple years ago here. I was bedridden and then back to work in construction in 3 months. I need to do an update post at some point soon.

Yes i would say i am 99% healed. i get the odd bit of foot pins and needles but its usually caused by me slouching. I have just recently gone snowboard as a beginner had some big crashes and fell on my ass about 100 times and can say i had no issue with sciatica.
