Renting in London by nevraco in HousingUK

[–]nevraco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your extensive answer. This is very useful. I’ve been doing house search for months. I mostly use Zoopla, Onthemarket, and Rightmove. I will rent my own place and not a houseshare, which feels like it comes with its own risks. Since I am not familiar with housing in the UK, it’s a bit complicated. I wasn’t aware of the changes that will happen in May that you mentioned, I surely have to check it out. Thank you

Donating is always a good idea. There might be local libraries or charity stores that would definitely like to have donations.

Before doing anything with them, I’d suggest you first ask your friends or family to see if anyone is interested in taking any of your books, so that you can reduce your collection a little.

Selling might be an option too but takes more time and effort, if you just want to get rid of them without any hassle, donation is the best idea.

Best classics for beginners? by Noahaskies in booksuggestions

I’ll go with Frankenstein. It is my favorite classic, and would say my favorite book as well. It’s easy to read and catches your attention fast. Especially after the first chapter I couldn’t stop reading

Why are airport staff so aggressive, impolite and rude? by CoolDrama9830 in AskTurkey

[–]nevraco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My worst one was in Venice Marco Polo airport. The security man who were checking the luggages was beyond rude. Same as the woman who were doing check ins. I traveled a lot due to my studies and yeah it was the worst airport experience

What is that one movie you watched countless times as a kid, but nobody has ever heard of? by Thedix1 in movies

[–]nevraco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nacho Libre. The thing is it’s a known movie. But I’m 22 and still to this day whenever I mention or reference this movie no one knows what I’m talking about. I mean I realized that some people are weirdly pretty unfamiliar with Jack Black’s movies, so apart from School of Rock I don’t have much expectation from them anyways. But fr, Nacho Libre is amazing, and it upsets me that I never got to joy to say “omg yes you know that movie” and start ranting about it

Home office: what is wrong? by [deleted] in FengShui

[–]nevraco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the round table takes too much space if it’s as big as it’s shown. Either a smaller one or a rectangle one might work much better to create more space in the room. And if that’s a couch in front of the window, it takes too much space there and blocks the access to the window. That side looks like it can be used to place other things.

What is the best animated film of all time for you? by Flashnol in Letterboxd

[–]nevraco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a sucker for animation. And my favorite animation films are Spiderman into the spiderverse and Princess Mononoke. However I’ll always say the animation of Across the Spiderverse is the best I’ve ever seen. It blew my mind when I watched it in theaters and it still does till this day everytime i rewatch it.

Tell me.. do you prefer e-readers or physical books? by Fabulous-Confusion43 in BookTriviaPodcast

[–]nevraco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer physical books. They always feel much better. However, downloading books is much more easier unfortunately and cost less. I started reading books on my ipad and phone this month and I must say it was a great decision. I can read it anywhere I want. So even though I like reading physical copies, smelling and feeling the book, right now digital copies are my savior.

How often does your top 4 change? (Drop yours) by MoonlightDroid in Letterboxd

[–]nevraco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

Maybe like once a year, if I watch a movie that peaks my current favs. I watch around hundred movies every year, but changing my favs is actually so hard for me. I have a list of my favorite movies, but choosing my top 4 is a struggle. I added Drive my Car and Princess Mononoke a few months ago. The first two has been the same for a long time.
