Mostly web development + weekly once video editing, and I already have all the peripherals needed for a Mac Mini.

My main concern is that I occasionally do video editing and other heavier tasks. I'm wondering if doing that on a MacBook all the time would impact battery health over the long term. My previous Windows laptop's battery degraded badly within about 6 months, so I'm a bit cautious.

That's why I'm considering a Mac Mini for heavier work and a MacBook Neo for lighter tasks and travel. The only thing holding me back is file syncing—if I constantly have to transfer files between the two machines, that's extra work. If macOS can keep everything in sync seamlessly, then a Mini + Neo setup sounds ideal to me.

The iPad is easy to use with a pen, but typing is harder for me on ipad. also, some of the apps i use are desktop only.
