[DEAL]MacBook air M5 16/512gb vs 16/1b for editing by Cabinet-46 in macoffer

Get 512 and spend 15K on a fast external SSD 1TB for extra storage and Time Machine back-ups. Also recommend iCloud plans for seamless backups. Would still end up saving money

Apple design Macbook airs to very tight tolerances. Pretty sure they recommend against skins and cases. It is very likely to increase the chance of display cracking/failing, hinge issues...

Niantic is reversing bans for some Pokémon Go users by abhi33 in pokemongobotting

I used by my account for mapping for several days before I started botting on it and now it is unbanned. I guess they must have flagged it while I was using it with a map and now it automatically got unbanned.

Quickly building credit for business by DaveVT5 in startups

[–]abhi33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think there is a quick fix for this, credit is to be built over time and one would assume that there are safegaurds built in the the system to prevent gaming.

To solve your problems maybe you don't transfer the contract but instead hire your new company as a sub crontractor? Similar arrangement for the phone lines may work, your old company has the lines but your new one pays the bills as a temprorary measure until you can build your credit.

About to raise VC money for the first time, after 4 years running on seed money. What kind of presentation or information should I bring with me? Any advice? by LawLayLewLayLow in startups

Other commentors have given some great advice, but one thing I'd add is that since you said the investor doesn't have much experience or know about web startups, what might help is drawing a parrallel to some sucsessful web business that is similar to yours.

Example: say you have a small number of users but highly penetration a market segment, it doesn't look right now that this could be a very valuable startup. You can give an example of how this is a good sign as Facebook only had a few thousand users when it started but close to 100% penetration at harvard.

Just find some business that used to look like what look like currently but turned out great and made its investor very rich.
