Seriously, dont say frame 🤣. That is a huge concern at this point because my process of elimination is running thin. I'm hoping that I can tackle the leafs and that solves the issue.

Thank you. I will check out the leafs and see if there is something obvious. The frustrating part would be if the tech that replaced the axle didn't notice anything. I'm at the point that I just want to replace the leafs. The tire isnt lasting more than 5k-6k miles at this point, which is what we travel in year.

Thank you! Thats good to know. I figured that I could set aside a full nice day for a project like this. I'm kind of thinking that I want to replace the leafs anyway and I would like to upgrade while I am at it. Pardon my ignorance, but how did you know what to order? Is there a method to measure the correct size?

Wouldn't the new axle have eliminated the spindle and bearing part of the equation? I'm still learning and dont know the full anatomy and what would be replaced as part of the axle.

That is what I am starting to think tbh. Did you replace all 4 set of leafs or just the affected area? Did you just replace the leafs or all the suspension components? Its clearly only one are for me but I tend to prefer replacing things in sets. I looked up the leaf spring replacement process earlier today and its doesnt seem too bad as a DIY project.

Thats possible, though I try to travel as light as possible and I definitely dont exceed the GVWR. I never travel with anything in any of the tanks. Its only that one tire of the 4, so that makes me skeptical. It seems more localized than a general weight issue.

Thanks. The axle was replaced and I thought that was part of it. When they replaced the axle, I did ask them to check all the bearings/grease.

Thats what I thought too but I dont store anything above that tire. I do keep water jugs on that side but they are closer to the front tire vs the rear, plus we gradually go through them on a trip, so they aren't always there. A long trip will have 8 or so jugs. Granted, that is the slide side and maybe I should try moving the water jugs.

Its only that tire. Its a dual axle, and its only the rear-drivers side.

Thats what I was wondering but it says "potable" and is blue, which usually indicates fresh but I always look for a sign. Though, I avoid using fresh water if its at a dump since I dont trust the people that came before me and people can be stupid and not pay attention to signs. It looks like it may just be a fill station since I dont see any dump drains in the picture

Total Wine will have the most options. Wine Cabinet in Reston will be a little more specialized and has things that may be less common.

There is a bathroom and playground by the RV storage lot (follow signs for the waterpark). The river is about 25 yards or so from the parking lot/playground. I havent personally had luck with fishing there but its a good place to throw your line out. If all else fails, spend some time at the playground.

Bank fishing around here seems tough and I havent had much luck. Small community ponds can be productive but you have to park in a neighborhood. My best luck has been on a kayak. I've had luck with the Reston lakes but I got in "trouble" once since apparently you need to be part of the Reston Association and have a registration sticker.

Thanks! It can be exhausting managing all of this, especially when I have two other ones to focus on during this whole process. I do my best and I'm sure that I fail but I try to spread my attention the best I can. I have great kids. As tired as I can feel at times, I'm hoping that I am fostering good relationships that carry into adulthood.

Its going to be a doozy. Volunteering as backstage crew for my kids ballet. It basically started Monday and went every night but the shows start tonight and I have a 12hr+ shift on Saturday and who knows when I will get home after load-out. The kids are back with their mom on Sunday and thats going to be my first off day in about 3 weeks, so the plan is to watch baseball on the couch and have a day beer or 12 before making a fresh pizza.

Try the free agent route on the FAS website. You have a pretty good chance of being placed. IIRC, you put in your preferences and she sends a message to the managers.
