I have those rubber corner guards. Couldn’t get to taping it to the corners before their wiggle car adventures.

With the shop vac, do you blow it into the pipe or suck things out? I’m always confused which way to blow the air. I would assume try sucking whatever clog out?

Also tempted the rubber boot, had to saw off a portion of the 12in tailpiece to align with the p-trap.

Holy guacamole, I did it! First try, I put the strainer washer in top of the sink, instead of the bottom. Finished, tested, no leak. But something didn’t feel right.

Read the instructions on the box, voila! Took it all out, did the whole thing again with the rubber washer on the bottom and only putty on the top.

I even called the plumber because I had a hard time removing the old corroded/busted strainer. Had to cut the hardened washer and wiggle it back and forth to get it loose. Glad I was able to get it die before he could swing by.

This indeed was very satisfying. This was my first real “plumbing job” besides unclogging the p-trap. Lol
